Derived from the Black Legion, Sons Of Ariok are headed by the power hungry Lord Ariok. The Warband came into being during the 40th millenia when Ariok, then a young champion with visions of becoming a mighty power and weapon for chaos, took a force of one hundred chaos space marines and a countless number of mutants and fanatical cultists from the ranks of the black legion and began to raid low level Imperial convoys for supplies, slaves and sacrifices. Leading from his vessel, the 'Blessings of Damnation' Ariok reaped a fearsome toll year after bloodied year, until the newly christened Sons of  Ariok derived from his own greed and unquenchable thirst for power were  bolstered with fresh, blood-drunk warriors, found themselves able to assault and conquer entire planets - the most notable of which was in the Talovian sector. A remote and unloved planet belonging to the Imperium, the populace of Talovia IV was utterly destroyed during the Chaos insurrection, causing the activation of an ancient chaos orb, the high influx of souls sent screaming into the warp charging the device with unholy power. Talovia IV changed, the very sky opened up like the maw of some fell beast, and through the tear in reality Chaos poured forth. The sector was swallowed whole by a warp storm with Talovia IV at its heart. The doomed planet slowly morphed, the ground cracking and splitting, reforging itself in the image of Chaos, reborn a Daemon world for the Bringers Of Darkness to rule and reside over. Ariok's ultimate fate was ascension to Daemonhood, elevated above mortality, ruling the Sons Of Ariok with an iron fist, to eternally wage the long war for the glory of Chaos. As a group, we have a shared interest in the Warhammer 40k universe. Sons Of Ariok is a custom made warband, and in terms of organisation and structure, will be designed around the choices we make as a whole and individually.
