the door opens and reveals a dark room where a single vial of pil;ls sits on a shelf.

"that is the last one....I no longer need them."

"Danke." Burias said as he goes to pick up the bottle of pills. He puts the container in a inside trench coat pocket before looking back up to messiah. "So, you are The, original psionic? How did that come about, if you do not mind me asking of course." he asked as he exited the room, carrying on with the conversation he was going with Messiah.

Sorianna takes the earpiece from her bag and frowns at the small device. "Really now...these things are not made with varghen in mind." She observed the device in general not actually sure how to use the blasted thing. Her frown became more noticeable.

"I'll need to be taught how to use all of this...stuff..." she sighs in frustration to Cain, "I was never exposed to it before. Can you contact Morgana or Kreig and let them know whats going on?"

cain takes the earpeice and begins tio mumble into it as you hear a hiss behind you. Abel stands and lunges but stops midair, as if frozen in time.

"Wretched beast.."

Messiah hisses , his eyes glowing as his hand is raised at the atttacking assasin.

"Wow..." Burias could only say as he watched Abel suspended in air with messiah not showing even a slight sign of effort. 'This guy is quiet a powerful psionic.' a voice spoke up in Burias's head. That was when a thought developed in his head. ".....Hey, I know we did not exactly get off on the right foot but do you think I can ask something of you?" He asked the psionic ghoul.

Sorianna looks over her shoulder to see Abel mid lunge, now able to take a closer look at him. She could see the similar features between him and Caliphas, see that they were indeed related. Her question came out spoken instead of staying in her thoughts.

"What terrible things did they do to you to get such a creature in your head?" She squeezes Cain's shoulder and turns to Messiah. "Thank you. I didn't think I deserved the courtesy of being saved when I attacked you as I did."

Messiah looks at abel.

"THey killed a very powerful ghoul for that beast within him......He is hateful...The overshadowed child. "

he turns and considers cain who ios still tlaking to krieg.

"It is better that you kill him....it would save you headache."

Cain looks up at the figure and shakes his head.

"misguided or not...he is blood...I do not kill blood...it would be like killing burias."

he looks at his brother sadly.

"im sorry this happened to you.."






the ghoul turns to burias as he speaks and nods.

"yes small one...speak."

"Considering how well you are with your psionic powers, and that you were among the first, do you think you can help the psionic with us? The one you sensed?" he asked him. "He is his son." he pointed over to cain. "My neffe, and the boy was made into a psionic user, is there anything you might be able to do or teach him to help control his powers or something close to that?" he explained to Messiah.

Sorianna helps Cain sit up fully. She stands and takes a few steps away from Abel. "Cain, that thing in his head...it's dangerous...and he wants you dead. I understand blood, I understand family...but we can't just leave him here to let him come after you again unhindered." She looks into Abel's eyes as she says the last sentence.

cain shrugs sorianna off, lifting his brother onto his shoulder.

"He is waht my father made him. I cannot fault him for that. Ill put him someplace that he cant affect us until we leave......'

he pulls out a vial and plunges it into his brother arms until those eyes close and he drifts into sleep


THe ghoul watches cain go and chuckles.

"He is a oddity....His son will have my help...but in truth, there is only so much i can do."

Sorianna watches Cain for just a moment before walking over to Burias. "You have Jacob's medicine." she smiles. "Good, maybe we should gather some other medical supplies while we are here? Perhaps I can find a larger container to hold more blood."

She sighs turning away from her friend. "I'm not prepared for this Burias, I don't even know what I'm doing." She pulls at the blood that had splattered the floor when she dropped her control, pulling it to orbit around her hand.

Burias shrugs to Messiah. "Maybe, but every little bit helps, Danke." He said to him before turning to Cain and sorianna, cain taking sleeping able off somewhere. "In all honesty, there is no real training for even half the stuff we deal with." He said as he took a seat on a nearby crate. He took out his armaments and began to check them over as he spoke. "Even before we defected from oh shit, Cain would usually have a plan before an op, but like a general long before inception day once said 'No plan survives contact with the enemy.' Then we have to wing a lot of it." he said as he slammed home new clips into his colt .45s. "And that is not including things like having a surprise crazed blood brother come out of nowhere or when something in your son takes him over and having to choose how to handle it with your conscious still intact." he added as a new banana clip was pushed in the ak. "Other than that, I think you are doing better then when I first started off." he chuckled as he wiped some grime off the snout of the draconic bone gas mask.

Sorianna chuckles. "Yes I suppose you're right. Part of me is waiting for the backlash though...like in the prison. It was terrifying enough to fight my fear of Nightmare, let alone when I had to actually fight him. I doubt my ability to help you two. I think I should be spending more time with Lorana."

[Armoured Priest]

Burias nodded. "Meet nightmare for the first time already? Ja, so did we at the carnival of carnage." he began as his thoughts went all the way back then, just a couple of weeks after founding cain again. "He made all of our worst fears come from the deep our minds to the fore. Mine was.....," he trailed off. If it wasn't for the mask, sorianna would have seen Burias starting staring off to nothing. The voices remained silent, knowing they were apart of it. He shook his head. "Lorana a saguinmancer too? Maybe it might be a good idea, but sometimes the best way to get good at using an ability is to have experience." he said. "I was not that good with pyromancy when I was younger, not till I meet bruder at blake's hills, even with mutter trying to help between vater's...'training sessions." he told her as he goes through the boxes, seeing what was available.

Sorianna joins him in the search. "Have you ever hated your ability to control fire Burias? I'm afraid of sanguimancy, afraid of the repercussions. I'm sure you know what its like to be different and what its like to be alone. I don't like to use it because, yes I'm afraid of what people will think, and I'm afraid of myself. I didn't realize how much damage I could cause someone...I was so angry that I ripped the blood right out of a man's body...and I liked it. I don't know how to control it or what I'm able to do and Lorana is the only one I know who can teach me about it."

She sighed. "I want to be strong enough to help and I can't do that when I'm too afraid to use the one thing that may help. Do you understand what I mean?" She looked over at Burias.

"If I remember right, I'm afraid of heights and you made me face that not to long ago." He chuckled as he turned to her. "I never hated or feared my fire, I am more fearful of myself when I lose it." he said tapping his helmet, referring his mind. "......I lost it in Blake hills when I kept seeing member in my drachen company die from combatants that hide among civilians that did not tell us where they were." he told her as he started off hesitantly. "So I burned down the entire town.....everyone in it... and I both enjoyed it and hated myself as it happened. Because I was just like my vater for those moments..." He continued, quieter now. "And then he found me sitting on the ash covered fountain in the town square." he said as he half heartedly looked through the crates. "It is more about controlling yourself rather than your abilities when you use them, and somtimes, protecting the people you care about is one hell of a motivator." he said.

"You're afraid of heights? Oh my gods I'm so sorry." She turns around to look at him. For a moment she considered touching his mind but she shook the thought from her head. She could not break her friends trust like that. "I am afraid of myself Burias...I've touched sanguimancy more in the last week than I have in my entire life....I don't know what I'm capable of if anything."

She walked over and took his hand. "I don't know your father, but I know you're a good man Burias. I've seen it, I've felt it. We've both lost control of ourselves, and thankfully we both had someone there to help us after we did...the difference is you've had time to overcome your fear. The most I ever did before father came back to the roost nearly dead was heal a cut now and then. The tribe hated me...feared me...so I didn't use the power that made me different."

She let go of his hand and walked back to the crates to search more. "I flew a lot though, all the time in fact. It was the only thing that made me feel better...feel normal. Morgana has told me I'm very skilled and it would be interesting to see me in aerial combat."

Messiah mutters , moving between the two of you and waving his arms.

The boxes are lifted and turned upside down , revealing tons upon tons of penicillin aspirin and other medicines.

" sorianna..... As a sanguine ce you are an offshoot of psionics. Instead of trying to put it in a jar set it to orbit."

He makes a motion with his hand and all the blood on the floor lifts into the air , consolidating into a single small ball that orbits soriannas head.


In the distance you see Cain come down some steps , looking down as he walks

"Hm.....that's one way to look through the crates." he said as he looked over the spilled contents all around them now. But his attention is grabbed by the sight of cain coming down the stairs, not acting like himself. "I think that someone could use our help now." he said to her before he started walking over to him, concerned now.

Sorianna stops, watching the orb hover around her head. She looks at Messiah, a faint expression of sadness and anxiety on her face. "Right..." she responds quietly to Burias, following behind him to meet Cain at the bottom of the steps.
