[Lafayra Rue]

Sorianna's smiles gets a little wider, but she turns to the forest for a moment scanning the ground for a chunk of wood. She finds one near the base of a tree and grabs it before walking over to sit near Burias. For a few moments she holds it up in front of her, turning it over and flipping it around until she finds a way it looks usable.

Resting the chunk on her knee she digs her talons into it, starting to carve something into the surface. "Will we rest for the night, Cain?"

Sorianna pauses for a moment in her work and looks over at Cain. "It will do none of us any good to be walking dead on our feet, so to speak. We should rest, even if it is on the move." Her gaze lingers for a second longer before turning back to her carving. "Who do you mean?"

"Wait whose coming?" Burias asked, his head snapping up the moment cain said why. He perched the owl on his lap and was petting predator as the barn owl god ate his prepared offering from earlier.

cain points to the canopy of the forest.

it is silent, deathly quiet and you can hear nothing, not a single peep./

he mumbles, his eyes lidding as if he is falling int oa stupor

Sorianna goes rigid, her talons digging deep into the piece of wood. Her feathers flatten against her body in fear, making her look very skinny. Her voice shakes hard and she speaks in barely above a whisper.

"Then we will need our strength...we can rest while we move." She stands, discarding the chunk of wood and starts to move to the path that leads back to the rest of Black Company. Her hands clench tightly to hide the shaking.

"Hey, if we got to move you need to wake up then bruder." Burias said as he poked cain with a gauntlet finger. He stood up and moved predator back on his shoulder. "Come one, what's wrong?" he asked, seeing cain starting to slip into some weird sleepy state.

cains eyes close, and a cold wind blows through the woods.

a wall, an inpenatrable wall seems to hit sorianna in her face as she walks, and an overpowering, unfamiliar aura begins to bear down on everything.

Silly...Silly humans...."

a vopice, an inhumanely low voice growls from everywhere but nowhwere. "plans within plans..plots within plots...Have you figured out nothing....."

a figure, wreathed in black appears behind where burias stands and watches carefully.

"do not touch my son mutant..."

Sorianna stumbles back when she hits the barrier. The voice is like a solid echo and she whips around, looking for the source, and the oppressive aura makes her skin crawl. She sees the figure materialize behind Burias.

"Burias!" With what force she can muster she pushes her mind into the blood of her friends and yanks their bodies towards her.

As his hands clenched into fists, Burias stands back up from crouching next to Cain before turning around and looking up to the figure that popped out of thin air behind him. "Who the hell are you and what do you want with my bruder." he said to it, his cheerful mood from earlier replaced by a more negative feeling as he stared through the red lenses of his gasmask.

the strength is sapped from your limbs and soon wenough you fall to the ground weakly, devoid of strength.

"I human...Am nightmare...Not the rouge little node youce encountered...THE nightmare....This boys grandfather..."

he smiles and looks at cain.

"augustus thinks he has this all figured out......but his planm will crumble at the last moment wont it my boy..."

Burias tries to pick himself up to keep himself between Nightmare and Cain. "Then you need to pick better nodes." he whispered, feeling exhausted for no reason it seems. He felt cold and it was silent in his head. He couldn't even hear Titan or Dekkanoraus. "My question still stands, what the hell do you want with my brother? Too many damn people involve him in there plans and I'm tired of people using him as nothing more than a damn tool." he said. He had to jerk his body so his head would roll back so he could stare back up to nightmare as he sat there limply. He had a feeling that he thought only his father could make him feel when he was a kid, but Nightmare wanted his bruder and that was enough to keep eye contact with him.

Sorianna could feel her fear starting to become overpowering. She was terrified, were they going to die, was there nothing she could do to save her friends? She looked up at the being standing over Burias and for some reason she remembers the conversation they had back in the medical facility.

'Burias...what made you realize that you weren't so afraid anymore?'

'Who says I'm not?'

Fear without fear, strange philosophy, but she closes her eyes and shifts her focus away from the fear she felt. When her mind calms she lets it expand. She does not reach for anyone or anything in particular, she just lets herself feel everything. She attempted to form her scythe.

the blood didnt respond. It fell to the ground in a worthless puddle as nightmare walks past burias and picks jacob off of his father.

he grunts, dropping the sleeping chuild onmto buriases back as he crouches obver cain.

"augustus wants to beleive cain will fight to the heart of chjina...and kill me....He wont....I saw to that years ago.."

the shadow begins to laugh as it disappates, leaving the aura behind for several long m,inutes before it fades.

Sorianna fights off the aura and pushes herself up. With stumbling steps she moves over to her sister and Kreig to check if they are alright, then looks around for Predator.

"Father? Father, are you ok?"

"Zur Hölle mit ihnen zu, sie Arschloch." Burias growled under his breath as he tried to get up without Jacob falling off and getting hurt. Holding his neffe, Burias walked over to cain, almost dragging his feet as his body tried to regain its strength. "Ok bruder, you really need to wake up this time." he said as he shook cain's shoulder during his second attempt to try to wake him again.

he says dreamily as he sits up.

"nightmare..the night mare is awake."

preator stands up, looking at cain intently as he peepls. "was not good...oww.."

"Ja, I do not think that was left to any uncertainty with him being here and such bruder." he said to him as he crouched down to help cain back up, still holding jacob. "What really bothered is that he called you son, and said something about making sure you won't let your vater's plan be successful, years ago?" he said, still confused about...well the entire little speech the thing said as it was here.

Sorianna lets out a sigh of relief when she hears her father. She starts to move back over to help Morgana, but stops and slowly turns to look at Cain. Her voice is quiet when she speaks but still able to be heard from the distance between them.

"He called himself your grandfather. He said Augustus expects you to go to China...to kill him...and that you will fail..." She turned back and ran over to Morgana.

"Sister are you alright?"

morgana stands.

"I just wanted a cup of coffe...Maybe a scone and some jam....Now i have a neo apocolyptic war coming and the man that is supposed to be leading it now evidently is related to the mopst evil creature in existence."

cain sits up and frowns.

"it could be worse.......We could look like hector."
