[Armoured Priest]

Watching from the entrance of the station, Burias tried to quietly walk in the convenience store and sat on the floor by the table. He stayed silent and let some time go by before speaking. "Did not mean for that to sound like it did earlier bruder." he told him as he watch neffe play with the metal.

"Blood font?" Sorianna looked between the two of them, pulling her hand away from Augustus. "I don't understand...what do you mean I need to awaken?"

Augustus looks to your mother and smiles.

" leanna.... You plan on telling her?"

She rustles her wings and turns away.

" she'll learn at my speed shadow..... Handle your son.. Let me handle my child."
She turns away and motions for you to follow.

Cain sighs, leaning back and closing his eyes.

" you courted a punch in the face.... But you weren't wrong ."

"I think everyone wants to punch me in the face." Burias sighed as he leaned his back against the leg of the table, taking his helmet off and resting it on his stomach for now. "At least your vater has the goal of trying to make the world better someway, I am sure mine would be happy just burning the whole thing into ashes for a laugh." he said up to cain "Not saying it justifies anything, but it was our thinking too while we were silencers, right?" he asked, wanting to know if him and his brother in bond were on the same page.

Sorianna held her ground again. "Ah...I'll be leaving." She rotated her head, looking at the gas station where the boys had retreated to and for a few moments sadness stole over her features. She wasn't sure if she'd get to say goodbye or even if she wanted to go through that and miss them all the more. "I need to give Morgana something before we go, if we are leaving now that is."

 

She turned her gaze back to Augustus, staring between him and her mother. "You never did answer my question. What does Caliphas have that you want?"

"nothing to concern you./...And dont say goodbye to morgana...Here and krieg will be going with you."

 

Your mother looks over her shoudler at you and nods.

 

"Make it quick hatchling...Weve got work to do."

Cain chuckles dryly.

 

"Ya bur...youre right...Youre right."

 

He smiles and slaps byurias on the top of his head playfully.

 

"Come on , we have to relive an attrition scenario."

 

he walks outside, shouldering his rifle with a smirk.

".....I do not remember us doing so well in those sessions, at least that is what Krieg said." Bruias said as he got back, slipping the helmet back on. As they walked back out and towards the rest of Black company, he sees sorianna talking with Augustus and another barn owl varghen lady he didn't recognize. "I wonder what they are talking about?" he asked aloud to cain before giving them a short wave to Sorianna hoping she would notice them.

Sorianna turned at her mother's words to see Cain and Burias walk out of the gas station. She smiled slightly at Burias's wave, quickly walking over to intercept them. She didn't slow as she neared them, knocking Burias a few steps back as she hugged him. With the contact she slipped into his head. 'Take care of them Burias and please don't let Cain do anything stupid. His father will not make this easy...for any of you...but don't let things get out of hand.' She stepped back, pulling Ashram activation control from the pouch on her hip. "Take care of Ashram. He get lonely you know?"

 

She smiled as Jacob came up behind his father. She reached between the men, picking him up and hugging him and she twirled on the spot before setting him down. "You did great today, Jacob. Thanks for having my back. Make sure your dad and Uncle Burias don't fight too much ok?" She touched his cheek, smiling.

 

She turned to Cain and her smile softened. She removed her necklace, moving closer to him and reaching up to tie it around his neck. "I remember when you gave this to me. You said it would be my good luck charm, that it would help you find me when I needed your help again." She laughed lightly, looking at the charm as it laid on his chest. "Keep it on you...so I can find my way back."

"Wait, why are you talking like you are leaving?" Burias asked her looking between ashrams device and Sorianna with a perplexed look underneath his gasmask. Then he looked towards Augustus and the owl lady, realization finally dawned on him. "Are you leaving with her?" he asked, pointing a thumb towards the other Varghen. "Who is she? And you coming back, right schwester?" he asked her, extremely not liking the idea of her being made to leave her family, especially with someone who just popped out of nowhere.

Cain stops sori as she reaches to touch him .

" your not going ."

He answers flatly making Leanna puff.

" she has a duty and a purpose much larger than!"

Cain surges forward, knocking the seasoned sanguimqncer over, a blade pressed deep agains her throat.

" I want you to listen and listen to me good."

He looks up at Augustus who widens his eyes in shock.

" black company doesn't divide ... Black company doesn't split. We are one unit... One heart. Where one goes... We all go."

Leanna snarls I fury .

" she has to go now boy!"

Cain growls menacingly.

" my men don't go without orders to.... If you want sori you will fight with us. Than we all will go."

Two silencers move up on Cain to be stopped by krieg who almost leaps from the shadows.

" you tell em kid."

Morgans stands above Doris mother, a long snipers barrel inches from the center of her forehead.

" you lost all right to be called Mother long ago sister ..... She's found a family here... And with family she will stay."

Cain tosses sori back the charm.

" keep it... Jacob needs you. You understand him better.... He needs a friend ... All I can be is a father."

Cain let's Leanna go and she glares daggers up at morgana.

" you will all see..."

She hisses as she stands, surging into the sky as melinko puts a hand on Doris shoulder.

" you don't come between a dominus and his brothers... It ends bad."

"Wow....she seems.........like an absolute bitch." Burias commented as he stared up towards the sky where the woman flew up to. Then his vision filters began switching, his hand involunteerly switching through them. 'She's going to be a problem later, feathers aren't fire proof though.' he heard in his head, one of the other voices, before he jerked his hand back down. He looks at sori and got her in a bear hug. "Wunderbar! Sis gets to stay!" he said as he squeezed.

Sorianna barely catches the necklace as she watches in shock as the Black Company seemed to appear from every corner. Her family...the place she belonged...where she was accepted. She ran forward, practically tripping as she came to a stop in front of Cain. Without hesitation she threw her arms around him. "I am not just here for Jacob's sake and he is not the only reason I wish to stay." She buried her face in his chest. "I am sorry I even considered leaving....I just know I need to be stronger....to protect the people I care about....the people I love."

 

She looked up at him, tears welling up in her pitch black eyes. "Thank you..."

Cain smiles and pats the top of Doris head.

" your welcome ... Your one of us. You'll get stronger on your terms, not theirs."

He walks past them and looks at them all from over his shoulder.

" black company.... In file . On me."

He stands there, looking directly at Augustus silently."

Seeing the bit of tension between Augustus and Cain, Burias just quietly lines up with the rest of the company behind their leader while trying to stay close to Cain and Sorianna for now. 'Hopefully we can get back to the base without interruptions.' he thought to himself. His head perked up as he remember something. "Hey Alpha and Zion, you two still want to come with us?" he asked the brothers of cain, hoping they still sided with them.

Sorianna smiled at Cain for a moment before moving to file up with the rest of the company. She looked at Burias with a slight grimace. "I heard that you know, and though I don't disagree...she did give birth to me." She was silent for a long moment as the rest of the company gathered, until she reached over and took Morgana's hand. Her voice was quiet so only Morgana would hear.

 

"I guess I never truly did forget her...and even though I didn't call you mother...you'll always be the one who raised me...the one who was always there for me."

"Oh, she is your Mutter? Sorry for saying what I said then, even with you agreeing with it." Burias said to Sorianna. "Should have you meet my mother one day, she tries to make everyone feel at home. I will make sure she does not try to joke around like she did with Cain, he still complains about the fire thing." Burias told her with a straight tone as if it was all normal.

Cain folds his arm behind his back.

 

"Before you stands black company...An extension of Rebellion and defiance to everything you stand for augustus.....We will fight this battle becasue it mutually benifits us."

 

Alpha and zion fall into stride beside their brother and stand like him.

 

"Afterwards...We will fight our own war....Youve bought our contract."

 

Anger creases augustuses face and he forces a smile.

 

"You little bastard.....Fine..The resources will be delivered tio you..."

 

He turns and begins to walk away as cain smirks.

 

"Lets go boys and girls."

 

cain laughs, leading the group back the way they came without another word.

You return to the facility within a day, and over the next few days the company works tirelessly to make battle and entrenchment lines.

 

on about the fourth day cain stands on the top of the facility watching as four trucks come down the road toward the companys trenches .

 

"burias.....Sori...Go out to meet them."

 

cain calls over the comm.

Sorianna perks up from working blood. She stood down in the furnace room, the doors that contained the fires that warmed the facility were thrown wide open and she stood with her back near one of the door. It was sweltering hot in the room and she panted through her exercises. Her mind still shivered at the heat. She had been doing this the last four days for at least an hour. The blood pooled into orbs, circling her wrists and ankles as she quickly closed the doors and left the room. "Eventually you'll have to do that when the fire isn't contained in a metal tube, Sori..." she said to herself.

 

She ran through the facility, making it up stairs and stepping outside. She flew over to the gates, her hand resting on her hip as the trucks drove up.

Burias was in his sleeping quarters made out of the former head scientist office of the medical facility without his mask or helmet on, sitting on his desk as he read the Grimorie on the Patriarchs and Matriarchs that Forge gave him from the underground library, trying to see there was anything that might prove helpful in the nearby future. When he heard Cain's voice coming from his mask he picked it up and and pressed the comm switched. "On my way bruder." He said into it before putting it on with the helmet as well. With most of his gear still on, he picked up his varghen gaterskin trenchcoat from a chair and moved to the front of the facility. He waved to the Vorboten and Emily and Juliee as he passed their rooms, already knowing he wouldn't have time to stop and say hi.

As you meet the trucks a bunch of the white company silencers begin unloading heavy entrenchment weaponry.

 

"We brought you sandbags.....A few heavy mgs....Enough c4 to level a whole school."

 

He points to the weapons and cracks his neck.

 

'You might want to entrench them becase.."

 

As the mans speaks his head explodes, showering soriannas feathers with grime and skull as he slumps to the ground.

 

 

"SNIPER."

 

The silencers yell frantically as gunfire rakes the sides of the vehicles and cains voice tears over the comms.

 

"MOVE THE WEAPIONS....DRACHEN to the front lines!"

 

he leaps from his perch and lands with a hard thud as the black company silencers surge forward.

 

"Burias!'

 

he yells, ripping sandbags into place as the massive garage doors open, revealing a fully weaponized mr jingles.
