"But we do not have any spiders....oooh." Burias said, realization now dawning on him. "Does he think we can set it up before they come again? That is a lot of work and I think them knowing Commander Nocturne is here might make them push faster." he asked her as he followed her back makeshift emergency room with the rest of the vorboten.

"he is ordering a retreat...He wants wounded taken from the field while the suilencers hold the lines long enough for them to fall back...Its been a long damn time since we fought a trench war.

"Would not be so bad if this was not some part of Augustus' plan instead of cain's." Burias commented as he checked the trench knife in its boot sheath. "This will not be a normal trench fight schwester, at least not with him around." Burias murmured the last bit to himself as the advanced back to the front positions.

Sasha grunts as she checks two revolvers at her sides.

"Rather not have the master manipulator around to use us all as meatshields sis, like he has us pretty much doing now without being here himself, if what Thaes and Krieg have told me has truth to it, becareful what you wish for schwester." He told her with a tone of caution, not sure how to take her willingness to switch leaders so easily. Especially when the other has a long history of pulling strings if Krieg was anything to go on. "And by raw you mean....like on edge?" he asked at first, not used to the saying. "Well, I know you do not know him well but, he is leading a motley crew while trying to make sure we all stay alive in situations we should not have, while trying not to become a tool for either Augustus, nightmare, or vater for that matter, trying to help his son in whatever way he can after having both sons and his wife violently taken from him, oh let's not forget having a big ass wolf's brain shoved into his head and me doing heart surgery to make the whole thing stable. I think he has some right to a little on edge after all the shit a not getting a single break yet so far..." he explained to her, a slight hint of irritation accidently coming into his tone. He loved his sister, but he felt like she was judging from a point of unknowingness on the subject that was his bruder.

Sasha puts up her hands defensively.

 

"Whoah whoah brudwer i get it..Im not wquestioning him as a leader or becasue of skill.. Im just saying id prefer to have smomne leadign that all they do is lead. Cain is a sniper, all he knows is combat. SDOmetimes that is dangerous."

 

She smiles as she looks out of a window showing a massive death line.

Burias looked down as he thought for a moment before it snapped back up. "If you want to talk to someone who leads, why not talk with Colonel Aberga? He leads the seige company that joined us, I'm sure Cain and Krieg will talk with him about plans now he's with us." Burias offered her. "Also, he likes the cold." He shrugged. Looking over the trench network, now being rehauled by the Arx troopers, he giggled. "He's gonna grind them into paste." he laughed, seeing a forest of guns pointing to the sky.

sasha smiles and isntantly her laugter dies.

 

Cain and krieg are crouching above a body, slowly fileting the skin from the face of the colonel of the chinese forces and adding it to a baroque flag hung atop the corpses.

 

"Oh...That is pleasent.....Im sure that will just invite good things here

"Or flies....and ants. I do not want to deal with ants, they get everywhere..." Burias said with a shiver that spoke of bad memories. "....Isn't everything here just gonna get blown up sky high when they get here?" He asked the two, referring to both the explosives that where planted by them and the several ordinance guns that were parked not far from where they were.

Krieg turns and smiles warmly at burias as cain walks along the line, affixing the broken flayed effigies like macbre scarecrows.

Burias was confused, and slightly scared, at Krieg smiling in a nice way at him. Something that rarely, if it actually did, happen at all. He looked over to cain when he called him and walked over him, faster than he normally would.  "Whatever it is bruder, I did not do it I was just came back out." he said defensivly first, his usual instinct when something seemed wrong.

THe other silencers on the line snikker as krieg looks at you imploringly.

 

"HOW CAN I MAKE YOU SHOOT BETTER>"

"Sir....why are we doing this?.....Again?....in public?" Burias asked his former commander,startled when he his tone switched from calm to desperate like. "I, I do not know?" he hesitantly answered. "I have not been doing it on purpose I swear." he said, something he had said several times over several years now since he was first inducted to the silencer company after blake hills.

"black company....We are a very specialized unit...As per cains orders your going to be leading the wolves fangs. Youll be working with cain after this deployment to work on your sniping. YOull be working with your sisters, melinko and smash."

 

He hands you a dominus badge.

 

"Welcome to the elite Dominus burias."

Burias looks at the metal badge, then to Krieg, then to everyone around him, then back to the badge. "....Vhat?" Burias asked to no one in particular as he felt misdirected by the earlier plea on how to improve his accuracy and then being put in an elite unit that was meant to be precise and accurate. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" he asked more directly now.

He says simply as he reaches out and he is handed an anti material rifle.

 

"THis is the rifle Thanatos.....It was made to fire special shells that can cause ghoulbone growths in vehicles...SO its good all around."

 

The other silencers all clap in unison as can stops from what he is doing to watch everything, his snipers cowlo covering his face

"You guys actually trust me with something like this?" He asked as he looked over the modified mate black anti material rifle. Though it wasn't as heavy as what he normally lugged around with his usual gear, it felt so with the meaning behind it being given to him. It's name was also rather fitting considering all the different things they kept coming across since it all started. "Danke." He said finally. "Thank you both, I will try not to fuck as much as usual." He claimed, being serious rather than making a joke. "And try to actually hit a target for once...maybe."

krieg smiles, but his shoulder is torn open by a round as a hail of gunfire savages across the line. Bullets and artillery come raining down as cai begins shouting over the din.

 

 

"Into the foxholes! get in !"

 

krieg grunts and falls forward, rolling under a hail of shots as he growls.

Still holding the new weapon he was gifted, Burias tries to seek cover in the trenches before trying to peek over to see who was shooting them this time. "Are they back already?" Burias asked, wondering if it was the chinese forces from earlier now rallied and trying again.
