cain says calmly as he pulls his silencers hood over his face and seals it.

 

"Ready up for infiltration...DOesnt seem like were going to get any breaks.... And please remember to bring only silenced weapons this time.... We arent going loud."

Burias looked at his firearms, his very loud and very non subtle weapons, and realized he only had the blades that were silent. "Uh, I will be right back then." He said as he left in a hurry to go find the transports with the weapon supplies to find some suppressors for his guns at the very least. He didn't exactly want to part with them and they should be modifiable to have the attachment he needed for them.  'Of course, now we suddenly need to be quiet.' He heard in the back of his mind, seemingly annoyed at how being quiet was a requirement after everything they been doing without it in the first place.

Soon enough night falls and cain sets out. You cross the three miles to the city easily but you can see that there are guards in the towers. you move into cover behind the wreck of what seems to have been a jeep and cain leans agaisnt the rusted huill thinking

 

"Burias... Im going to kill that guard."

 

cain whispers, loading a shell into his rifle.

 

"I want you up there on the second tower by the time i drop the one directly in front of me  to make sure the scanner light doesn't stop moving... Once weve opened up a safe way in well keep moving into the town" 

 

cain points to a small ladder on the tower and crawls under the car, setting up his position.

 

"Hop to it bruder."

 

YOu can see the lights are moving in a crisscrossing pattern. YOu can risk the run or you can look for another way to the towers.

Burias nodded to Cain in acknowledgment before moving up a bit to see what route he was going to take and how he was going to do this. The pattern seems obvious, and he could more than likely cover the distance too. But they were suppose to keep this quiet, and get this guy soon, so the chance of getting seen was too much of a risk in his mind. He started looking for a more covered way of getting to the other tower, using the night vision of his drachen mask to find another way and do it fast.

you can see that there is an inlet to the sewers that seemns to be used to move quickly, its completely dar kwith no light permeating the inky blackness. You could go there or make the run directly to the tower

"...I mean, it probably hasn't been in use for a long time." Burias reasoned to himself as he thought about using the sewer infront of him, cringing at the thought of its purpose and what would get on the armor. Giving a quick sigh, he lowers himself into the darkness of the tunnel, lighting a small flame only after getting in so as to not get spotted by whoever is watching in the towers.

you jumop down and find the sewer is unused, dried up long ago and easily walk able. Above you hear the loud retort of cains rifle cracking the silence and soon his voice  comes over the mic.

 

"Cracked this dome piece and slumped him over on the light.....Itll keep moving  until the body slumps off... About 40 seconds.. Move it bruder.... "

 

Your hud beeps as the inlaid scanner points out a ladder about 10 seconds from you.

 

"If i have to ill handle it, but i dont know if the sound will attract anyone."

Without much time left, he didn't even respond to Cain and went straight for the tower's ladder, cursing to himself and at cain under his breath as he tried to get to the body before it slips off and becomes obvious to the other towers that something went wrong here. "Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck." It wasn't exactly something a professional Silencer statue would be doing, but Burias wasn't one of them.

you manages to get up the ladder just in time as the body slumps to the floor with a wet thud. There is nothing left of the mans face, the perfectly lined shot blowing a perfectly round hole  in the mans soft face. You man the light and set it to auto rotate  as cain climbs up the side of the tower.

 

"You got here just in time."

 

he says with a smirk.

 

"I knew it would take just a little push."

"Ehnananana" Burias barely said through his breaths in a mocking tone at Cain through his mask. Turning around, he looked out at the city that they were suppose to go to, a whole bunch of dilapidated buildings that towered over them and the tower they were in. "Uh...where are we suppose to go exactly bruder?" he asked him, completely lost as to where they were heading and what the commander's son might actually look like. It wasn't exactly a very planned out mission like most others before.

cain comes over and smiles, placing a hand on your shoulder as he pushes you over the tower into a freefall.

 

 

You feel weightless for a moment as you fall, plummetting to the ground just to be caught by cain as he jumps down, using a long length of drop chain .

 

"Well move i nthe shadows and do things the old fashiponed way......."

 

he says with a smile as he sets you down on your feet, making your boots click as you stand on the hard earth,

 

"Well abduct people until we find a winner."

 

the chain dissolves and wraps around cains arm with the rest of his purifiers iron as cain pulls up his hood, moving down an alley to his left

"AAAaaaa....you jackass..." Burias said quietly to cain, stopping what was about to be a shout of fear to a well deserved insult before being dropped to the ground after the chain was dissolved and back around his bruder's arm, leaving him to dust himself off after getting back up. "That is going to take a while you know." He commented on the plan as he followed him to the alleyway. But at least they'll question the people they abduct for clues and hints, and then probably have to knock them out afterwards.

can pulls his cloak over himself and guides you into the alleys of the derelict city, his suit clicking silent as it opens the person comms betwee nyour earpieces.

 

YOu both move in silence, keeping to the trash strewn streets as signs of life begin to show themselves. Derelict towns, squatter cities are all over, always dwarfed by the tower in the distance. Soon enough though you begin to see military trucks rolling by. Men in uniforms similar to drachen blut are patrolling in tight patters and cain sighs.

"THere are a ton of these forces."

"And uh...they're wearing....the uniforms." Burias said, stating the obvious even though he didn't want to admit it. He knew he was told, he even seen someone, that there was something Drachen here and that they are more than likely the remnants of the Company he was with in Blake Hills. "Well, if the guy is the son of the leader, he should be easy to point out just by his rank markings alone. So we should have that going for us, right?" He asked Cain, suggesting a way to filter out most of the people for the one guy they need, and feeling a bit useful since he would know the difference between most of the marks and ranks alone.

Cain says as his statement is cut off by two figures arguing. One wears a commanders coat. His face obscured by a drachen blut helmet. He is exchanging harsh words with a younger man that shoves the older man back and points at him, saying something to the effect of .

 

"This is why youre leading this city to hell!"

 

before stormin g off into the night.

 

"Well...Im guessing that should be our friend..."

 

the silencer says with a sigh, slowly ghosting after the younger man.

"Uh, yea, we are Drachens, we are usually in the open with the troops. That is how we roll." He rebuttaled Cain before their attention was grabbed by the rather loud argument that was happening, one being the obvious commander and the other more than likely his son. "See, I told you." Burias said in a somewhat smug fashion before realizing Cain was already on the prowl after the boy, going on to try to catch up with him with the same kind of stealth he doubted he could pull off.

Cain jokes as he ghosts through the alleys, moving like a wraith as you clumsily crash through the alleys.

 

"Flex your ankle as you move Burias...... and keep your breathing rythmic..I swear to christ you are the most bull in a china shop style silencer ever."

 

the young man from before goes into a house and cain stops beside it. It is a squat, two story brownstone that looks like it was probably standing when the bombs of inception day fell. YOu can see that there is a back door and a single window on the second floor.

 

"So....How do you think we should go in....Stealthy or ..you know... THrough the back or front door."

He looks down at himself, looking at the armor of his grandfather and thought of the place they were at and who were surrounding them. "....You know what, fick das." Burias sighed as he drops all effort in being stealthy and just walks up to the door, knocking on it. Maybe he got tired of not acting like a Drachen anymore, maybe all of this was some sort of wakeup call to him or something. Especially after what Sasha had said to him before about leading and what not. "Hallo Herr, hast du einen Moment zu sprechen?" he asked through the door. He doubted the guy would recognize the armor as Alduin's, but he hoped to at least know it was a form of drachen armor. He wanted to talk to this kid as Drachen to Drachen if they were going to work together, so he wanted to drop the sneaky thing.

you hear an annoyed grunt and see cain moving to get to the top of the building.

he says as he fades from view, and you hear the telltale click of his rifle powering up. The door opens after a few moments and a young m,an comes out. HIs face is soft but has a scar along his cheek and he has a dirty mop of blonde hair. Ackermans nephew. You could glimps the commanders sharp features and prominent ridge line as he says.

His eyes widen and he looks around, as if realizing something.

 

'Who are you and why are you wearing the old dragons war plate?"

he hisses through clenched teeth as he tugs you inside and slams the door closed

It still took a moment for Burias' mind to fix itself after seeing the kid up close after getting dragged into the house, not able to put much resistance while still in shock. It was like seeing a ghost for him, seeing the man that had believed in him and tried to help him back from the dead but not. Shaking his head, he finally spoke to answer. "I'm Burias Dempsey and this is my Großvater's armor. I knew your uncle, Varsnik Ackerman" He explained. "We are....I'm here to fix things....hopefully. And I'm told you're the one I should be talking to for that." Burias added. This whole experience was odder than he was expecting, but it made him even more hopeful as well. If he had any of his uncle's qualities, this kid would be a very respectable commander and someone he would want on his side to get American branch of Drachen Blut a reality again. "But, quick question. Is there anyone named Sara Bausch still here? Or Faramound Roth? Klaudia Ebner? Dellinger Klemens?" The drachen question, asking if anyone from the old command squad was still alive, here, and hoping that they might still talk to him and the years he hasn't seen them for have been kind to them.
