Friends, brothers, JC... I am here in this barren part of the forums to share with you and announce for those who do not know that Doctor Who has yet recived another Regeneration.

Yes the doctor is on his 12 regeneration. The actor to play him is know as Peter Capaldi and has been on the show prior in the Fires of Pompeii and also is a long time fan.

Now personally I cant wait to see him in action. With 110 days to go till the 50th anniversary and the last Matt Smith episode coming up Christmas we shall get to see the regeneration just in time for the series starting next year!

Being the Die Hard fan I am, beetween Explosions, Being angry and punching things till they explode I will be tallking about this.

My ex-GF (huge Doctor Who fan) was really pissed off it wasn't a girl, even though they gave dozens of hints that the Doctor could possibly be a girl during the build up apparently.

Was in World War Z, Skins as someones dad and is the in the BBC show "The Thick of it". Funnily enough in world war Z he played a W.H.O Doctor.

On the topic of it being a girl... It just wouldnt be the same. It has always been a man. Though it is possible for it to change having a female Doctor for the sake of having a female Doctor is different to having a female doctor because people want one. And from what the DW Team have found through research most females and males disliked the Idea of having a female doctor.

However the 13th doctor will have to be a man due to some of the old lore from the old series.

Moffat already uses him for Sherlock. I don't think it would work with him as the Doctor and Sherlock
