[Armoured Priest]

"Oh, thank you!" Sethis as he sat up more, sitting cross legged on the bed now to make room for his mother on the bed. For a moment, he wondered when was the last time him and krauss even had a proper breakfeast in the morning over the last few months. After the plates were placed and sethis grabbed a bit of meat and biscuit for his bite, he asked his mother the first question since he had many to ask her now they have time. "So, what is this place? And the people who followed you yesterday?" he questioned, curious about the obvious for right now to get his bearings.

she takes a sip carefully and sets her cup down.

 

"We are in waht is known as the temple of shadows...Our orders personal covent hidden away in the mountains..The men and women you saw are the acolytes."

"Temple of shadow? Would it be safe to assume this is for those that can do Shadowmancy, mother?" Sethis asked, curious that there was any sort of establishment or organization with his mutagen at his core at all, in similar fashion to Drachen blut with their pyromancers and the Purifiers with their covens. It seems like he will get to learn a lot today, more than he would have ever thought at least.

she says with a warm tone.

 

"we are a small order..But we protect this part of the world, and hide certain information from the eyes of people who may abuse it."

"I did not think there would have been any sort of order or such for our mutagen. And honestly, I did not think there were many other shadow user besides me and maybe even you." he admitted, surprised and ecstatic that there was such a place he could learn more about his mutagen now, with his mother too now. "But, what sort of information? How do you all protect this region as well?" He asked more, becoming more interested in the order his mother was in and what it did as he ate his breakfeast. He wasn't sure what sort of knowledge they would keep secret, could be anything, and he wanted to know how and what they involve themselves in. He honestly wanted to know everything.

well...Much like you and your friend ...We are assasins....We kill to make sure the secrets of shadow mancy...And much darker spells are contained so that people like adolfo cannot misuse them."

 

she smiles warmly and sips at her tea.

 

"We also take children of different schools of power to give them places to be safe."

"I didn't realize Adolfo even had a hint something like those existed. Then again neither did I." Sethis admitted, after all it was only just yesterday he knew his mother was alive, and just moments ago this order existed too. Sethis wondered what he wanted to ask next, wanting to continue asking about the order but now he wanted to know his own mother too.  "Mom, do you still remember the story you used to tell me when I was a baby? The one about the wicker man?" he asked

for a moment, your mother goes quiet, but than she niods.."

 

The wickerman...The hero? its been so long since i told the story...But you remembered it?"

"It's one of the few things I can remember from my childhood. And I always wanted to know more, it felt like it was an important piece of history, at least for knowing where we came from I think." Sethis told his mother after taking finishing another biscuit. " When me and Krauss were still kids, I found a book in one of the libraries the Nazis had, kept in a vault, had the story in it too. It didn't have much else on it about it, tried um....something from it too. Was some sort of location...spell? Ritual? I still don't know if that's what any of it can be called, I thought it was just superstition at the time and I'm suppose to be a scientist. Probably not anymore after the Nazi collapse but oh well. But but to the 'spell' , I really wanted to find you and it was suppose to do just that. But it didn't, I think and something nearly hurt Krauss and me." Sethis told the story in a more summarised way, thinking it was something worth sharing with his mother. "Sorry, kind of rambled on there a little. But the whole thing made me wonder if the tale was more literal than I ever thought." He finished, explaining why he asked now.

she says with a deathly serious smile.

 

"Sometimes hje can be coaxed out with a powerful enough psionic presence...But the use has to have a tainted soul. Thats why his legends are so few...The last one called was called by a good friend of minue using his son.."

 

she takes a sip pof tea and chuckles.

"When you said using his son....you are not referring to...sacrifice or somthing right? Mother? Was a bit of a euphemism in our old jobs for...well killing off people no longer useful." Sethis asked, obviously extremely unsure what his mother meant when she said that. While it sounded like it was a blunt question, sometimes it was better to ask those and be clear of something, especially when it might involve living sacrifice. Though this didn't stop eating the last bit of meat and biscuits, he was too hungry for that. "Also, I don't think we have a psionic like that, so I'm not sure how I would meet him even though I would like too." Sethis added as well.

your mother looks as if shes one statement away from hitting you at that question, but she only chuckles.

 

"no boy...No sacrafices..ANd you do, ylou have the same psionic who summoned him last time!."

 

with impossible timing, krausus walks past, chewing on abiscut with an annyoed look before he smiles.

 

'hey folks!"

"Wait, him? Krauss? I thought you said it had to be a 'tainted' psionic? I do not see how he is something like that." Sethis said, incredulous at the thought. "How did he even summon at all? I feel like I missed something...." Sethis said as he looked between his mother and his brother, lost now at the things revealed to him. Did Kraussus do it on accident? Or was there just more things he didn't know the whole time? Questions, questions, questions that just keep popping up since they left the Nazi regime. Sethis took a breath and steadied himself for now.

[Thugren]

Krausus raises his eye at seths words and shrugs.

 

"I never dealt with your mother too much..."

 

Your mother laughs warmly and shakes her head.

 

"YOu where barley a boy   when you helped me krausus...YOur father had a way tyo utilkize potential vai a machine."

 

Krausus huffs and rolls his eyes.

 

"of course he did."

"A machine? When he was just a child? That is a big of an extreme measure, don't you think?" he questioned out load at the idea of hooking up a child to a experimental device. 'Just what kind of father what Kraussus'?' he thought to himself. "Why did you need to speak with the Wickerman back then mother?" he asked her, wanting to know the purpose of using his brother when he was just a child at the time.

There was a monster that was released here...I needed the wickermans help to send it somewhere else since we couldnt destory it."

she looks to Krausus with a sad smile.

 

"I am sorry boy..YOur father told me it was safe."

 

Krausus shrugs and looks around.

 

"Hey man...Ive gone through enough to not complain as long as im alive with all my piggies."

"I rather not put you through that, even if you're 'ok' with it, we can do it some other time when we haven't just rested after being on the run for weeks." Sethis said, not as interested in doing the summoning anymore. It's not like they needed too like whatever had happened last time with the creature mother had mentioned. "Other than that, what have you and this shadowmancy order been doing over the years? Things around the continent haven't been developing in a favorable way for most people, and it seems like the rest of the world is following suit." he asked her, still plauged by recent events.

your mother sips some tea and shrugs.

 

"FOr us its buisness as usual..We rob the bigger groups using our shadow jumps , and most of the time they are none the wiser...Everyone once in a while we may catch one of the other orders mid work and skirmishes break out."

[Armoured Priest]

"That sounds quiet familiar, only replace the stealing part with stabbing some unlucky soul. I think I rather take stealing over assassination work any day of the week though." Sethis said as put away the plate and cup. "But that does bring up the question of what are we planning to do? Mostly for Krausses and I. As far as I'm aware, Adolfo doesn't know about the order still and I understand we are still outsiders, for the most part, so what can we do for now?"

Your mother says, tipping her cup toward Krausus who shrugs.

 

'YOu can be taught our ways ande help with our tasks as we continue our operations."

 

At this krausus stands and readies to leave.

 

"Just point me where i need to go and how many you want dead....Im ok with this he says with a warm smile as he leaves.

 

'I dont doubt you are boy..I dont doubt you are."
