"I could only imagine." Sethis remarked, distracted by the imagery before him. Even after all this time, he still worries about how this situation affects Krassus despite the benefits it gives him. "How often does an 'illegal' demonhost pop up around here to begin with?" He asked, now realizing the implication of what the older man just said.

he says bluntly as he goes to a computer and shows a database of the most recent offenders.

"low level shit.......japan has mostly managed to keep safe from the problems of the worlds with their political power and isolationist measures when it comes to power......... So these things are snuffed out immediately."

"Well at least there's one government taking this subject seriously." The varghen smiled a little after hearing that. "But, referring to earlier, I guess this is what sort of drove the wedge between the community here and Altur?" Sethis indicated the video they were watching. "What about this was the major disagreements on?"

He stops and pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Kronen....He is involved in something the community here wants nothing to do with. He came here...Learned all he could and use it to break some of the most sacred covenants....Hell that demon in the boy is a deathsentence in and of itself...Not including the high level thamaturgy and demon mancy.... Theres always a price to be paid...And the counsel is terrified at waht could have possibly been ponied up."

he brings up a picture of waht looks like a old jar, covered in runes and filled with a yellow fluid.

"this is called an egg of loathing.... demonic beingsd can be cultivated in them.....But sometimes waht will be cultivated is .....well call it like a seed of corruption...Incredibly powerful and a hard tether to the world of demons...But it takes a horrible toll..Usually human lives."

"So the old idea of sacrifices for power.....I see why there's such a divide now." Sethis admitted when it became clear in how Altur managed to do all of what has done so far. He could only wonder as well what sort of price was paid for such things, and hope Krauss wasn't one of them in some way. "You said only sometimes it might be cultivated, is the chances random or is there a pattern to these, seeds?" He asked.

"Maker of ways?" Sethis thought out loud after looking over the page he was shown. "What was special about this one? And...only feathers as a sacrifice?" he asked, wondering if it really was just feathers or it was a name for something he didn't know of yet.

He pulls up a page that details a wish in that the caster was able to create an area that only he could enter, but was trapped in for all eternity.

"Well, other than everyone, from my mother, to a dollmaker, to the Judges here, that apparently he went too far in his studies, he seemed to be in a place where time doesn't move forward for him." Sethis tried to recall, remembering seeing how old the man was and when Altur told him that 'time won't move any faster' when he was there and had the chance to ask so many questions.

Especially if he could make a pact with that being, he could probably trach you how to do it too....Can you think of any way he contacted you? or ...How he initially reached out to you?"

"I....do know of a way to at least contact him. My mother showed me the little ritual itself." Sethis did tell him at least that much with some hesitation as he wondered if Altur would want anything to do with this school now even if the nice man had told him Sethis was welcome back anytime when he had last left him. "Do you have ash?"

"She didn't really specify at the time, she had a servant bring it to her in a cup of sorts. The ash itself was really fine and powdery though, like powder sugar on a pastry." Sethis described to the best he could from memory. Looking back now hew was sort of surprised his mother didn't tell him what kind of ash it was if it was suppose to be a specific sort for the ritual.

the old man says as he goes and retrieves a cup, in it he puts ashes and makes a circle. At the center of it he puts the glass and he begins to chant. The words are foreign, but they tug at something in him . The lights in the room are snuffed instantly and a door appears. Without being biudden, that door opens , revealing the dark study where THE ELDEST KRONEN SITs.

his eyes narrow and sighs leave his lips.

 

"who asked you to open a gate to me?"

"Vermon Krass, he kept saying you knew him and was his mentor. We were at the school in Japan." Sethis explain, trying to keep the feeling of guilt hidden from his voice and face. It seemed like the right idea at the time but the way He reacted told him differently.

The eldest kronen pinches his nose as the older man pops up.

"Kronen!"

The magister groans and looks at sethis.

"Its fine but...HIM.......Hes so annoying.."

Krass looks as if insulted before kronen continues.

he asks with a smile

"This school we're going to, the teachers here don't hide that they hate you. That man earlier said that a lot of covenants and rules were broken by you, and then said there is always prices for everything you've learned from Demons and such. And that Kraussus alone is a death sentence? ......What did you have to sacrifice for all this?" Sethis couldn't help ask, worried what road the man was on. He may not know Altur well, but the man seemed pretty respectable in his eyes and is the father of his best friend so he still had genuine concern for him.

the door behind the young warrior closes, locking him in kroneses space, along with krass.

he goes to open a box, pulling out a shard of waht looks like metal, but its pourous, like bone, an impossible object in their reality.

"Krausus.... Cain, Burias, abrega.......ALl of them and many more are the first of something much bigger than just this worlds issues.. Even you, your magics should not exist.. its almost impossible for it to, but here you stand. And its becasue of this."

he pushes that eice of object beofgre the lizard and sighs.

"this is eden stone."

Sethis sat as Altur had advised and listen, soon amazed by what he was told and shown. "Does that mean the mutagens and the research was only possibly because of this stone? Or just the certain individuals.....and why am I included at all?" He asked, the last bit he added as he wasn't sure what would make him stand out enough to have this abilities that apparently shouldn't actually exist. "I guess the story of the wickerman and the snake tribe must of left some details out to...."

Krass looks excitedly between the two of them as the elder kronen speaks, but is enraptured as he continues.
