Okay, I have a question I figured would be asked here..

Fore some reason, the past couple of days GWRS have been running really slow in between pages for both me and Catty. For example, it takes about three minutes for a post to be posted, and about five minutes for a new page to be loaded.

What gives?

I have no problem with any other page one the world wide web, and have never had any problems with GWRS before. Is anybody else having this problem?


I've emptied out my internet history, and done other things that I believed would help, but nothing has changed. So what's going on? Am I being punished with some new "Slowpoke Attribute" instead of the usual ticket to upside down land?

A quick answer on an otherwise slow GWRS would be appreciated.

Yeah.. Kindly disregard from this thread and problem, since it apparently decided to fix itself. That, or Cru realized I was on to him, and removed the Slowpoke Attribute...

I brought the same thing up in the Governing Council and next time I go online it's fixed XD

It was probably not actually a problem on GW's end, but on the hosting services.

Basically, not much Cru could do about it except mention it to the hosting site.

I know, Cru without absolute power. It's terrifying, isn't it?

It still sounds like a great big conspiracy theory.. To prevent us from sinking deeper into the madness that is known as GWRS, Cru and the hidden leaders of this site had a meeting with the republicans and the reptile aliens, and decided to slow everything down, with the hope of us getting bored with the sloweness, and instead go outside, and even.. *gaaasp* get a life!! O.o

But then people started asking questions, and thus they pulled the plug on the operation so that their involvement could not be proven! And we have all the evidence we need in this thread! Sort of...


Okay, maybe, and just maybe, I'm a bit off with this, but I still think that this is a possibility we all should have a open mind to!

GWRS was running normal speed for me, as was Black Esper and Teamspeak which run on the same server. I suspect what happened Iron is a routing station between you and GWRS was twitchy.

Basically the internet is like a road network and your browser is like a Navman GPS; it'll take the shortest route possible between A and B while completely ignoring inconveniences like traffic jams, road works and nuclear explosions. The reason you could access other websites would be because your browser was taking a different 'road' to get there; this also explains why other people were not having issues, since their connections would take different 'roads' from you and Catty.

Short version: It is a consiparcy, but sadly not of my doing.... this time...

From memory we just tweaked accessible RAM on the server and *poof* it worked. That was a long long long time ago.
