Basically they decided no one wanted a F2P strategy game online so they canned it, fired all the dev team and binner the code. Shame because I was really really looking forward to a CnC:Generals 2 on the Frostbite engine :(

I take it they learnt no one liked that Command and Conquer MMO RTS which we played a while ago, so they decided to ditch this one as well. But to fire the dev team is bullshit, I hope some other publisher highers them for something like DoW or whatever. 
That said someone PLEASE murder the entire official board of EA...

As I remember they did not fire the team they wore trying to find them places in some of there other studios.

Fuck giving Star Wars games to Disney! They'll cutify it and make it child friendly! I want to hear a storm trooper, rebel or clone screaming the words "I'm gonna *CENSORED* you till you fucking cry you tiny little bear looking *CENSORED*!" If it goes to Disney it ruins all chances of that!

I would like that dev team to go DoW however, the thought of a 40k game with a frostbite engine! :D

I don't think Farther's For Justice will allow you in the protest where you will be running around on a really high roof while pissed off your face

... Where have you been? Disney can do what they want to Star Wars.

And the first thing they did to screw it over is sack the Game Development company they got with the license, and gave rights to EA...

When has anyone in any Star Wars media ever said anything remotely resembling that? Though I agree about not making it so child friendly.

This makes me sad, but it is not unforseen. I was wondering how they were going to make money off of the game. Command and Conquer is on of my favorite realtime strategy series. To see a game get canned is very unfortunate.

Hopefully somebody not EA will pick up the series again and deliver a kick ass sequel to generals. Or another tiberium wars. I would be down with either.
