Hey moderators, you know how much you guys want to get rid of the rules and word filter, I mean look at the Eternal Crusade forums, their only rules is play nice and it seems to be going okay... Somewhat... Or look at the #gothicwars thread, that's us without rules, this whole site could become that! You know you guys want that! Oh and Cruuuuu, seems as on that site you have no responsibilities as a mod why not go crazy like JC and DX? Embrace your insanity!

I actually wouldn't mind it, it'd show who people really are for one as they wouldn't have to behave through fear of getting a warning (never understood why people were bothered by that anyway) and also some things, videos and ideas on this site are so bad your response ends up being mainly censored! Also it annoys me that half of my posts trip that *CENSORED* bucket of a word filter at some stage.

EC is based on a game that's going to be an 18 though, so they don't need a filter.
Arguement: Little Timmy saw bad language on your forums! BAAAW!
Counter point: Why was little Timmy on a forum about an 18+ game?

The difference being GW isn't just linked with Space Marine, and that is definitely not the case in any official sense... so we still have some profanity guidelines to follow. I think.

• I act on here as I do IRL anyway
• We poached our word filter from other large forum sites (thanks to Spiny's effort)
• Most of our rules regarding post content are required of us by the hosting company we pay to host the GWRS Server (eg Porn, Warez) and we couldn't change them even if we wanted to.
  
  • I feel I should point out that most hosting companies require this for legal reasons (so they can't be sued as the actual hosters), so other websites that actually break these rules could be deleted if someone were to seriously report them. Goes for Enjin, Guild Launch, etc as well
• I believe that the way other SM communities are acting on the EC forums will be detrimental to their long term viability.
• EC Forums is currently a slime pit due to lack of Mods. Just look how much the Crimson Derps can sexually harass poor Emmalee without consequence. Or how Dark War Paladin was banned and just made another account.

I really hope that they get more mods, but I also hope their frankly stupid approach to forums is not indicative of how they're going to run the actual game!

Ha. Ha...hahahahahahahaha. Age is but a number. Nothing I haven't used myself before... Or heard.... Or invented.. I am EC after all. I don't become an EC without having being corrupted entirely in some form haha.

I get what you mean though because you do get a few innocent people around and it is not just merely there so that you don't seem oblivious to that fact.

For myself though, I may be young but my mind is older than my body.
you may not realise this as JC is right when he he's that we act differently on the internet but I am actually quite intellectually advanced and more mature...

The internet is where we can let ourselves go and have a laugh and act however we see fit within reason but censoring and the like are needed because it is just as much a moral thing as it is a rightful thing to do.

I run GothicWars for no personal monetary gain. In doing so I put up with minor derps like Pony and Authrix, and the occasional Godzilla Derp like all those idiots we banned last year. I haven't had a single day as a holiday from GWRS since it came into existance. I voted for JC to be on the Governing Council during initial elections.

Of course I am insane.
