Corner update: this isn't today's update, that comes when I'm sober and can no longer smell the cheap stripper perfume. I was thinking while walking back to my flat, why does it always get so cold at night? If the moon reflects the sun then surely it should stay the same? Anyway I've basically summed up that dark=cold. I may be wrong but it's the only conclusion I can come to while drunk.

Well it makes sense! Just think about it okay, it's always cooler in the shade, at night, in a tunnel. What do all these have in common? It's dark.

It's because the moon is only reflecting light, a minute amount mind you, not the actual heat radiation that the sun gives off during daytime. it's dark because lack of light. I"m sure if you but a heater in a dark room it will get warm.

But a heater is artificial though. I'm talking about natural and the only way things seem to get hot naturally is with light so light=hot and dark=cold.

Look at fire for example, it's bright as hell and burns things.

Because that's energy being released in the burning for heat and light is a byproduct of the process.

I hate to be the one who says this, but Fuzzy is actually partly correct. The moon reflects light from the sun, and is thus visible during the night. But with that light, there also actually comes a small amount of warmth. Since energy can never be destroyed or created, but just converted from one form to another, it is understandable. If you have ever experienced a complete lunar eclipse(which comes around every 850-isch year), you could vouch for the temperature dropping notably. Not much, but enough to understand the connection. But the notion that bright is warm, and dark is cold is sadly completely based on nonsense.
