Howdy people,
Just the final notice that in just over a week (1st of February) we will be purging all 1.0 Groups (eg Factions) and Forum Sections and doing the final conversion of remaining 1.0 Forum Groups (eg Leader, XO, Premium).
The following groups have NOT made a 2.0 Group or have not COMPLETED the process to make a 2.0 Group*

The following groups have NOT migrated their 1.0 Forum posts or have not COMPLETED the process **

* Usually they have not filed the support ticket asking us to review their faction, or have an error in their application
** Usually they have a partially resolved ticket such as forgetting to tell Staff where old forums go if the old and new forum names do not match, or have not created forums for the old posts
The lists above may be incomplete; there was a lot of small letters in multiple places. So check if your 1.0 Faction has fulfilled the process listed below.
2.0 Group Migration Process
- Create your group under the 2.0 Faction System
- File your support ticket (Faction category) alerting Staff to review your application
- Create sub-forums with the same names as your 1.0 Forums (usually Intro, Social and Private)
- Can be done while Staff are reviewing your application. Just access GroupCP -> Forum Management to get started
- Update your ticket to ask Staff to move your 1.0 Threads/Topics into the new forums
- If you choose to merge one or more old forums into the new forums, or choose different names for the new forums the please note as much in your ticket.
On the 1st of February for the USA (2nd for New Zealand) I will conduct the purge. Not making a 2.0 Group is not such a big deal and can be done anytime; the big deal is loosing all your forum posts - once they are gone they are gone, you can loose years of posts due to stupidity or laziness. If your group is on the list smack your leader on the head asap.
Those that make a group and get it approved (because they remembered to make a ticket asking to be approved), but don't negotiate their forum post transfer will find all their posts dumped into the default 2.0 Faction forum; this will result in Introduction, Social and Private 1.0 Threads all being dumped into a single 2.0 Forum. If you want it done cleanly and orderly then get those damn tickets in.
Note: Leaders all received an email to their registered address about this weeks ago (and also right now RE this post), and this deadline will have been publicly notified for 6 weeks when it arrives. Staff have tried their best to make people aware of this deadline and fault for failure to deal with it shall rest with the Leaders and XOs of the affected factions.
