thornen nods, a slight droop in his shoulders.

 

'that is true.....We will have tyo bolster our numbers.....And the only way to do that ...is in a raid.":

He snorted a little with a smirk. "I think we still got enough for that." he said to him before looking over to Thaursus. "Gather a party party of warriors and leave the rest here to defend." he told him as he glanced over to the dead that milled around Thornen. "Can they be of any use?" he asked, nodding his head at them.

the undead brandish wicked claws.

 

"Theyve been my only company since that day brother......They are waht kept me sane."

"....I wish I could have come with you brother. Or you stayed with us. That whole event shouldn't have happened in the first place." Gorgiras said as he absentmindedly fidgeted with the metal on his arms. ".....Let's see which of our neighbors could use a surprise visit." He said before starting heading back to see what sort of group they'll be able to take on the sortie.

THornen waits patiently in the sun.

 

It takes you several hours, in fact the sun is coming down as you manage to get twelve shadows, seven ostari, and two earth speakers to ready themselves.

Thaursus pulls a mask over his features, his face obscured behind a wicked X.

 

 

 

"Who should we hit first."

 

he asks quietly as the men gathetr.

Gorgiras looked over the the men that made up the party as his mind went over the nearby varghen settlements. While the numbers were good enough for a normal raiding run, but considering this was meant to boost their numbers he needed to manage losses so their gains where high and their deaths low as possible. "We'll go for the Armadillo's village, our earth speakers can keep them corralled and help minimize what their diseases can do to the rest of the group." he said as he hefted his crescent blade. "Lets's move now, if we get their after dusk they won't be as awake as they should be."

he nods and goes over to thornen, he looks between the two of you and stops.

 

 

"I dont mnean to casue friction but.....To whom...Do we call cheiftan."

 

At this thornen looks atr you, his glowing eyes unreadable.

 

 

"Well old friend.......This is your call."

He looked at Thornen with a raised scaly brow before looking back towards the assembled group of raiders. "I only got the position because of circumstance, who do the rest of you think should have the title now?" he asked them. Inside, he just wanted to give it back to Thornen and just go back to being the warlord for the city. But after the events of the ghoul attack, this seemed to be a wiser choice for now.

Tharsus looks at his brother.

 

"It is best the people have their hero back.....Ther ostari havwe grown soft since youve been away gogiras.....We need your strengtrh to bring them back the where they need to be."

"Soft you say?" Gorgiras says as with a raised brow looking over to the Ostari. "That simply won't do." he chuckled before looking back to Thornen. "You get to deal with the task scribes again, no take backs on that." he said to him with a smirk holding his plate covered claws up as if not wanting to touch something.

thornen says nothing and leads the walk into the desert.

 

 

The sun is hot and brutal, the men cover their faces and cool their necks but soon they come to the ravine .

 

"lords...We need water...Can we take a rest?"

 

the undead behind thronen hiss dryly, dust coming out of their throats in heavy poofs.

 

"We need water......Everyone relax."

Gorgrias gave snort, trying to blow out dust and sand the crept into his nostrils. His maw was agape, the only way for crocodile to cool off other then going into a river, while his metal hanged around his neck as a large ring. "They moved since last I remember it seems, should have packed more water then what we normally carry." he said as readjusted the cloth covering his head.

Thornen sits beside the water, watching the warlord with a happy smile.

 

"Your controlling the butchers rage.....im happy to see it brother...I was growing afraid for you."

"Well it was either that, or take it out on the few diplomats we had that keep bringing me new issues. I was pretty sure that would have been frowned upon especially during rebuilding." he said with a half smirk. But it fade away as he thinks back through the time he had to go through while Thornen was gone. "....Although physically, I think I'm fine. But.....and it's been happening more lately....the red mist I see just comes from nowhere even right after awaking from slumber." he admitted to him. "Muscles and metal twitch, but then I regain control quickly, but the crimson lingers on too long." he said quietly now. "...I know that's not normal brother." he sighed.

"its more normal than you think my freind.....There is nothing wrong with you...Your kind is prone to it...Even i fall to it now and again."

"Huh, I didn't know you had it too." he said with a look of surprise. "I guess that's comforting to know it's normal, somewhat. Just pops up at the worst possible times." he chuckled as he undid the metal ring from his neck, playing with the iron in a more fluid state. He looked over to his brother. "But how does it affect you? I haven't see you in melee in the same way." he asked.

thornen grips his staff.

 

"it showed itself when i was alone....Id lose hours...Sometimes even days...Id wake up caked in gore...None of it mine."

 

he seems to realize trhe strength of his grip and he lets go, shaking lsightly.

 

"Id always wake up near the same two bodies.....it was horrible."

Gorgira's entire brow was raised as he listen to Thornen. "That sounds rather disturbing to keep waking up to." Grogiras said as the metal formed into a loose spring like object and had it bounce from hand to hand. "Two bodies..." he said to himself under his breath as he thought for a moment. "Brother, do you want to talk about anything? It's been what, years since what happened?" he asked him.

thornen grabs a glass from his satchel and dips it into the water.

 

He waits until the dirt settles and he gets a clear glass and pulls back his arm.

 

"theres nothing to talk about thron...It happened. We are alive now and that is all that matters."

"If that's how you feel about it brother." he grunts with a shrug of his shoulders, a movement exaggerated by his size. Still playing with the bouncy spring in his claws, he couldn't help but smirk. "Be nice to get to wet my metal withTemplars when we can." he said as he watched Thornen. "Still, didn't think we would ever have to rebuild our forces like this..." he said trailing off.
