Just an FYI that I am going to merge all miniature gaming together into one sub-forum called 'Tabletop Miniatures'. This section of the website doesn't get much use and instead of adding a Warmachine section I'm going to merge the quiet forums together. I'm also doing some other reshuffles.

 

The new structure will be as follows:

I intend to do this sometime in the coming week. If you have suggestions for new sections, sections to be moved, or section renames then please let me know. 

 

 

 

Conclave of Ancients is replacing Council of Shadows. Since Leader, XO and Officer 'forum ranks' are being deleted as they are now redundant (replaced by internal faction ranks).

 

Conclave (FYI: name was chosen so we no longer have confusion as to which 'Council' is being referred) will be a self-electing body of community members who will be given opportunities to plan and run community events, help shape new rules & policies, and comment on proposed upgrades & changes to the website. For those interested, it's named after an Apocalypse Formation of Venerable Dreadnoughts. Conclave won't be involved in every decision (after all it's not GC), but their opinions will have effects.

 

We haven't used the Council of Shadows for a long time due to the lethargy of any outcome, and rampant bickering (act like a dick in Conclave and the GC will boot you out, most likely permanently); this new system is based off the Governing Council system which has been proven time and time again since November 2012. GC will vote on members to 'offer' a position in the Conclave to, and set rules upon which it operates. It'll then be allowed to select, vote and offer entry to new members up to limits set by the GC (as the forum gets busier with EC we'll increase the number of Conclave spots). GC, Admins and Global Mods will have automatic entry.
