The room was dark and an odd aura hung in the air.

Nocturne sat in her seat silently , watching both generals calmly as she folds her hands.

" tell me.... How did two of my best commanders get outsmarted by one rouge commander .."

Thane , your rival, and commander of the strike company flounders for words.

" he out ran my men and albregas guns couldn't even..."

In a startling show of power the undead queen slams his fist onto the table.

" there's always am excuse with you two! Always !"

Her startling eyes round on albregas.

" how can my main artillery commander not do his main job?!"

Aberga had to make a conscious effort with his eyes, one succumbing to a milky whiteness over the pupil, to not look down at the table and away from the enraged ghoul queen as he stood there with Thane in his heavy greatcoat, his peaked cap tucked under his arm. The red rash looking patches on his scales pulsed green briefly out of fear before he spoke.  "If olbreig wasn't already sitting on the position, this commander has for a long time the qualities to be leading the entire headtaker branch in his place without second thought and we wouldn't have to be babysitting everything in ho siht instead of focus on our main objective." He objected as he tries to defend their positions while not trying to anger his mother further and without the damn bear making it worse. "He's been able to out predict us when we try and has been able to play on our weaknesses even while we try to cover each others. He sends Thane's troops in a protracted melee with ghouls and his headtakers they can't win and then breaks my warmachines in suprise assaults in ranges that makes Artillery useless. And I'm pretty sure krieg is supplying him through unknown means while ours get stretched thin. We try everything we can to the best of our companies abilities, but that's obviously not good enough." he finished, his gut clenching as he now waited for her next words. He normally has never seen her this upset, especially with him.

Noctourne folds her hand over her lap.

 

 

"You two are very lucky i dont skin you here....."

 

she stands and walks ovetr to a window to look down onto the science floor.

 

"We need to get him into custody soon....if he pairs with cain we may be done for."

Aberga remained where he stood, part of his mind still getting over what she had just said to him. "His recent actions makes him seem more preoccupied with performing superfluous tactics and gestures at us instead of finding cain." He said now in hopes of alleviating some of her temper she had as he thinks back to the previous escapades that both he and Thane went though to try to bring down the rouge headtaker commander.

She clenches her arm.

 

"Hes drawing you out....He wants you to slip up so he can kill you."

"It's either us keep going after him or he gets free reign to do what he wants on every other part of oh siht, which would be even more disruptive and chaotic then what his actions are now." He said, bringing up in his view an even worse alternative compared to the current situation. He was surprised the bear had nothing to say so far, so there was still something working in his favor.

Thane looks over at his rival and nods.

" aye milady.... Thrask is a deadly strategist.. And olbrieg is so obsessed with krieg that he's blind to the threat ."

He pokes a button on the table bringing up the asks profile from the database.

The holographic face of the general floats and thane nods.

" we know that thane is terminal... That without regular doses of radium he would die ... There's only one place in the area he could hit to get supply.


Nocturne looks at al.

" do you think we can capture him?"

Alberga stared at the image of Thrask for a moment, a muscle around his eye twitched briefly, before he answered. "....We been struggling to even stay on the same level as him throughout most of our engagements, if we want him alive it's going to need a completely different approach and means then what we've been doing." He said to Nocturne as he clasped his hands together in front him. "Possibly, yes. Likely, uncertain."

"We cant risk losing him al....We can brainwash him easily ...We need one of our best under our wing....Do you have any ideas tyhat can possibly work?

"....You said there's only one place he can go for to get the supply of Radium that he would have to hit to survive, yes?" He asked both Thane and his mother Nocturne. "If he doesn't already know this place exists, I want it leaked to him. Leave a paltry garrison with no vehicles with it looking like it's still manned by a full one. We install the best senors and security measures placed both outside and inside. Ones that only send a remote alert. He has to make his move on it soon. When he does I want to know. He'll be trapped in the facility with my and Thane's forces encircling it. Power will be cut, any service tunnels collapsed, and supplies nonexistent in the building." he told them,  giving a basic outline of the plan forming in his radiated brain. "Trapped in a corner, no room for his mobility tactics. He would have several ways in the facility, but only one way out. Through us." he finished, a small smirk forming on his patched marked muzzle.

Noctourne smiles and nods."how fast can you make it happen albrega."

 

she asks, as  Thane watches you intently.

"We can start pulling the majority of our forces off from further pursuit of him since we they mostly lag behind out of sight in the first place, with some of Thane's faster units left to make it look like we are still hounding him until it looks like he heading towards the facility, if you can get workers started on installing the said security measures Mother." He told her with a respectful bow of his head to her.

noctourne turns from the two of you and leaves the room as thane looks at you.

Aberga didn't even look at him, looking straight ahead as if his mother was still there, as his claws tapped on the wood furnished table. "I knew that look earlier was one of disagreement." he said to the bear before turning to him. "We are bring him in, alive, and intact,. Or I am, do you understand?" He declared to Thrask as his good eye bored into him while the whited over one gave a blank stare, not giving any ground in the issue. Thrask and Aberga were of the same height, with thrask having strength on his side, but despite have several "disagreements" during the course of their current assignment they have not come to blows. Yet.

Stone easily covers the bears fists as he turns and faces you fully growling.

" is thata threat lizard?"

"Even you can't be this dense." Aberga said to Thane, his lips peeling back to reveal rows of jagged teeth as the red rash like patches on his scaly skin began glowing green. "We been failing this simple task for this long, I'm not letting our best chance slip up at the very end just for your personal grudge Thane." he told him plainly before standing up and heading out the other doorway. "Go to your company and get them ready, I'm sure I can trust you to do that at least?"

the bear says nothing and pushes past you without a word.

 

you leave and walk down the hall to the barracks, but see something. A pair of lenses tregards you from an entryway. Familiar green lenses flash and a grating chuckle fills the air. "Albrega....Its good to see you son....Could you spare a moment for your mentor.":

Aberga gave a silent sigh through his nostrils before speaking quietly. "I will, I think you know that, but I wish you and mother would do the same. but I doubt that'll ever happen." he said as he looked up and down the hallway to see if any other officers or guards where walking about. "I'm guessing you heard everything in the meeting earlier as well?" he asked.

He answers. , turning from you and walking down the hall.

" is it possible that I could turn you from this madness... Please albrega... Don't make me do this."

He answers, turning wen he is out of view and facing the massive reptile.

"You want me to leave the only thing I know, the only thing I know that brings some semblance of order to the varying sanctuaries that would shoot there own foot if left alone, after the chaos you started before you left without saying a word to us?" he said, his frustration. He shook his head. "...Remember how you used to train us, as children, simply follow the leader through whatever hellhole you found?" he asked. "I can't follow you this time, father."
