[Thugren]

Another video flickers to life. THis one inside the one way observation room that houses cain.

 

YOu see the silencer grand master lunge to his feet, eyes filled with abject horror as a feral snarl fills the air. Like a man posessed krieg slams his fist agasint the glass as if to shatter it, snarling and spitting in hystericas as he turns around and grips a chair. He cocks it back and runs at the window, only tobe tackled by at least three enforcers, leveling the silencer commander and pinning him to the floor until he lays there brokenly. A sobbing twitching mess.

 

 

Noctourne comes into the room, watching the after effects of the experiment with calm iondifference. Ignoring the sickening saps of human bones . "Sedate him....I want him ready for testing by morning..."

 

 

She whisper, before the video feed clips

[Armoured Priest]

He just watched a commander he greatly respected, which was a rare thing to him in ho siht, broken in front of him on the screen. His face was static except for the red patches becoming glowing green, while everything within was in conflict with itself. "Why?" he finally spoke. This was not the mother he knew, but the footage showed him different.

[Thugren]

"sometimes....War is inevitable son.."

 

A female, familiar voice whispers from the shaqdows, making thugren and thrask leap back as they draw weapons. Noctourne walks forward from the shadows, her face calm.

 

"I need weapon my son.....Weapons like you...And thrask.....And cain....Without all of you this world will fall.....My father is relentless.....A legion follows him.....I have to give this world a chance...I have to."

 

Thrask sputters.

 

"how did you..."

 

She looks at him calmly.

 

"I know all thrask......I knew you were here...and i knew you came for abrega.......I wanted you to....I need you both on the field...Where warriors belong."

Aberga was just as shocked at the other two seeing Nocturne standing in the room with them. "....Ho siht was showing signs of failure for awhile then, wasn't it Mother?" He asked, believing that was a good guess for the actions she was taking. "But then why that kind of test?" he asked, pointing to the screen. "Or any of them after that one? Why did that man have to be destroyed for this to work?" he asked, hoping to finally know her reasoning now.

[Thugren]

she looks at the room, as if watching the memory unfold.

 

"Cain.....Odin. He had to be the lst man standing....Humanity had to be broken from him..He had to be able to survive under any condition...Mental ...Physical..."

 

She touches the glass and looks at the floor where krieg had been held.

 

"I knew it had to be this way........But....It doesnt make saying it easier...I would sacrafice a hundred souls to the claws of the undead..if it gave us the tool needed to save a million son.."

 

"Cain had to snap....To shatter...The hope was that his mind would siassociate from waht hed done....Make a coping mechanism....Once that mechanism was in full control.....Cain would have been lost to jhis mind.... And become the weapon we needed."

 

She shakes her head sadly.

 

"but....Like hes proven, that boys mind doesnt break.."

[Armoured Priest]

He stood next to her now, more out of how a child would stand next to their mother than a soldier next to their superior. He nodded in agreement, having meet cain several times both on and off the field before the experiment that happened here."...Did Thaes know what he was doing before he did it?  Or was his injuries part of something else mother?" he asked her, wanting to know what really happened to the other son.

"Krieg happened to him"\

 

SHe whispers tiredly.

 

"When krieg caught wind of it....He snapped...He sought vengance...."

 

She grips her forearms sadly. "It took everything we had to keep krieg from thaes...and the other scientists..."

 

She looks at Thrask who stands there .

 

"You knew cain thrask...You knew krieg,...And burias...You know that i loved them..All of them...I fostered them like my own children.....You have to beleive me.."

 

Thrask sputters, taking a step back.

 

"You treid to have us all killed!"

 

Noctourne shakes her heaqd.

 

"No, i didnt boy....."

 

Fromn the shadows, half a dozen cloaked warriors surround thrask and thugren, watching them with narroed eyes.

 

"If i wanted you dead at any time...youd be skinned...I cant support you all openly....I cant give augustus a clue that i want his son out of his grasp...Itll be a civil war with inhotep....And they hold the nukes."

 

Thugren tenses, long lengths of razor sharp bone slowly growing fdrom his flesh.

 

"Abre\ga.......Your call on this.....I dont take being boxed in too well."

[Armoured Priest]

Aberga sighed as he looked around the room. "She would have been here long enough to know either of you are not in much shape to fight, you both said that loud enough" he said, thinking a loud. He looked over both Thugren and Thrask before looking down to his mother nocturne. " Think you'll be ok with me gone, I know Thaes left for the islands."

[Thugren]

behind noctourne, two fiogure stanmd behind her. They seem to exude power. she looks at them calmly and nods, making them vanish into the shadows.

 

"Augustus isnt the only one who knows angels son....Go.....Ill supress your rebellion long enough to get you ajnd youir men out....Take as much as tyou can.... Do not be afraid to fight if you are questioned."

[Armoured Priest]

He gave a small, but somewhat sad smile as he nodded. "Alright, hope to see you again soon mother." He said to her as a goodbye. He looks back to the two men. "Well what are you two standing around for? We have a rebellion to join." He said before walking towards the double doors. "I wonder what Chinese taste like?"

[Thugren]

Thrask eyes noctourne and leads you and thugren out, guiding you into the dark artwork of the tunnels.

" if she felt like this she could've said so sooner."

[Armoured Priest]

"You mean like how you could have told me why you left months ago before I had to spend those months going after you with the damn bear?" Aberga asked Thrask as they continued onward.

[Thugren]

you are lead to the main  hangar.

 

"You gert your men, they are readying to move out...THey have tyheuir guins trained on the entrance to the hangar. Once you go through those doors theyre gonan fire."

[Armoured Priest]

"Well, it's going to be the best hit and run this unit is ever going to do." Aberga said before looking over to Thrask and Thugren. "I'm guessing you two have your units to get back to as well, enjoy the fireworks if you can." he said before he started striding over to his company, a column of armoured vehicles of different descriptions with idling engines and smoking exhaust stacks.

[Thugren]

your men watch you earnestly. The steady grind of tank treads as the armored colum heads toward the massive double door.

 

"Captain abrega.."

 

A voice comes over the comm.

 

"You are not scheduled to be leaving....Please stop and check in."

[Armoured Priest]

Aberga clambers on the ladder on the side of one of the two of his T-65 Anaconda heavy assault tank, the 'Armored Claw.' "I'm sorry, could you repeat that? Hard to hear over the engines over." He said as he took up the commanders position in the hatch, the pintel mounted mg still pointing to one side. He reached down and took the headset sitting there and turned the channel to only his company. "Load H.E., buckle up, and don't stop." He switched to the tanks channel. "Commander, please make a breach for us." He could only hope for now that the artillery units were in the middle, with the more heavily armored elements screening for them on the outside.

All at once, the roar of gunfire rakes the hangar, and doors are blown off their hinges. Instantly alarms blare and scream as ho siht reinforcement pour from the walls and sides.
 

 

from the clatter you see thugren leap over a blocjkade, a pack of slavering hounds in pursuit as he holds up a black box.

 

 

"BREGA HELP!"

[Armoured Priest]

He turned himself around as his entire self began to glow a sickly green light now. "Move it!" He shouted before extending out a claw to unleash a sweep beam of radiation at the hounds pursuing Thugren. He would have used the pintle mounted machine gun, but he doesn't get many chances to use his own powers.

the heat scours over the undead dogs, burnng them to a crisp as thugren catches up witgh the tank, struggling to extend his arm out to get on

Aberga extended his other hand to his, the other still glowing and heat radiating off his scales as it gripped the lip of the hatch, as he bends over to help the wolf climb the tank. "So, What's in the box that's worth enough to make you do that rather foolhardy stunt?" He asked with his voiced raised so Thugren could hear him over the din of the barrage of ordinance Desertortes where shooting as they moved out.
