So. I intend to download LoL to play with some friends of mine.

 

So I did.

 

So It didnt work.

 

Everytime I try to install it, It gets to something about C++ 2005, which in then tries to install. Which fails. Comes up with an error. I have tried instaling later versions and makeing sure every thing is in shape, but am still unaware of the issue. So. If anyone would like to help, that would be very nice. I got some tanking to do...

No worries mate. I seemingly found a solution. Just downloading the updates for it now, though According to my Computer I have 397 hours left, so yeah.

Eh. Tis a shame. I mean I could always change servers right? Or does it work like that?

I intend to go Tank. Spotted a few I like, my main target being Shen. So yeah. Lovely.

Updates at 70 percent, so just waiting. Probably gonna sleep through it.

You can make more than 1 account though. Tanks are hard to play, you need to know how to build, farm passively and when and when NOT to engage in a teamfight. A good tank can make or break a game

Well. I mean. I really though being a Tank was soaking up all the damage and hurting people. I also have no understanding of the idea "Teamfight".

Never the less, if they were easy where would the fun be? And anyway, there is always Support.

Tanks are about being able to take a lot of damage and starting the teamfights. Teamfights are where you have 3+ members of each team fighting each other in one spot at one time. Tanks have to start the fight or both teams will end up floating around, if you start the teamfight at an advantageous time it can make a large difference than if they start it at an inconvenient time.

So I have started playing as Ryze. Gonna save up some damn points to get a new character.

 

Must say I enjoy his AoE moves, and his ultimate, very much. Bit weak for my liking though. Will set up an account to play with you Cru, but not right now. May I ask which server you play on for future reference?

If you want to play tank try Darius and Cho'Gath. I'm sure Pilot has other suggestions but off the top of my head they make insane tanks

Alright. Buckle your seat belts because here we go.

 

Shen is indeed an excellent tank. He has fun laning, CC, and his ult can make or break team fights. I'd highly recommend him. 

 

Nautilus is an extremely fun tank. (Plus you can grab the Chaos Terminator Skin) Unfortunately Nautilus excels at jungling, so if you wanted to play him, you would havve to learn how to jungle. But I LOVE Naut. He can lock down a single target for about 6.5 seconds if you land all of his abilities and 1/2 of them are aoe to add to the fun. The sheild that he gets scales off his max health, so the tankier he gets, the larger shield he gets. Late game he can get quite beefy.

As for some other interesting tanks, You could try Shyvana, Chogath, or Darius. I'd recommend against using chogath as you are just learning the game though. He is highly depended on landing skill shots. Darius and Shyvna are quite fun due to their abilties to dive headfirst into teamfights, soak up damage, and Utterly destroy squishies. If you want a more fighter type tank, pick those two. 

 

If you are also going to play support, blitz is a fun support with his grab, knockup, ult combo. If you can successfully pull people over walls, you can win the game single handedly for your team. Another support that is somewhat similar is Thresh. Thresh is considered the best support in the game right now, so I would highly recommend you pick him up.

Well Metal, if you want to play on NA without spending a gakton of money - just download the NA client. Your account won't carry across - that's what paying for a transfer does, but you'll be able to play on NA without dropping them dolla dolla bills. 

 

I plan on actually getting some champs on my NA account at some point, but hey.

 

Oh, just a little thing to add from me in regards to what Pilot said, at this stage, it's more important for you to pick champs you're comfortable with than taking the best ones simply because they're the best. If you happen to like the best, great, more power to you, but you don't need to worry too much about the meta right now.

 

My advice would be to learn what as many champs can do as possible - abilities, so on. Who's got the heals, who's got roots/snares/stuns, who deals a metric fethton of damage, etc. It's a lot to take in, but it's worth doing so you're not caught out by surprise when you get Choncho Jomped by Darius, or fethed sideways by a surprise Fiddle.

Well. I mean I can just change Server in the Client and make a new account. Thats cool.

 

Nah. As prior stated I dont care bout the power (though that would be nice). Shen has some two Mortal Kombat skins. I would be using him if he were shit. Nautilus. I didnt even know he had a CT skin.. Awesome.

 

I tried Warwick last night. And Kayle. Didnt like either of em. Cant seem to hit anything (But then again I didnt really have a build.) I dont know. I wanna be able to soak up hits and deal damage. So yeah.

I also seem to be facing masses of connection issues. Keep having to disconnect from lobbies. Kinda annoying.

Indeed. The connection issue has been quite bad lately. I've run into it quite a bit. Hopefully they fix that soon.

When I say banned I mean temporary Suspended.

 

Infact they sent me an email, telling me It was because of frequent leaves (2 disconnects

 

I do recall someone reporting me in one of the games in disconnected from in the postgame lobby. But thats when I got banned. I havent said anything to get my self into trouble yet. Most of the guys I have played with have been pretty cool.
