Basically Microsoft are reworking Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4 to run on the XB1 with modern graphics. WOOT

 

Halo 1 was the one I clocked the most time on, but Halo 2 had the best campaign

Yeah; Quarantine Zone was my favourite level ever. It's the one where you're The Arbiter and have to use the Spectre (Cov Warthog thing) to get past the flood and Sentinals

I've only ever had Halo 1 and 2, and played 3 the whole way through at a friends house.

I think 1 had the best campaign imo.

I am extremely excited by this. I love halo's 1-3. If I pick up an XB1 in the near future. I really want to see Cairo Station in HD. Floating around and watching the battle in space will be SO FLIPPING AWESOME!

Agreed, Cairo Station would look amazing!

 

Thinking about it, it's a shame Reach isn't being done as the scene where the UNSC Savannah is fighting the corevette (plus the space fighter level) would be just nerdgasms all round

really want to see 'Long night of Solace' and 'Exodus' but it's a shame they aren't being re-done

I look at it. And want it. Mainly to play Halo 2 but also to replay Halo 3. That game was the best time I spent on Xbox, and the first game I really played, so it would only be fair for it to repeat the cycle of being awesome. Especially on Sandtrap and The Pit. And Zanzibar. Loved that map.

 

How is the Halo 3 remake btw? Has it got a similar treatment to Halo 2 or have they just fiddled? And the new forge amiright?

 

And now I am also demanding ODST and Reach remakes. Pls.

Halo 3 and 4 were just upscaled to 1080p. Halo 2 was redone, including COMPLETELY new cutscenes and gawd are they amazing. Cutscenes are Halo 5 graphics levels and I just about died from continuous nergasms during the cutscenes in Cairo Station (space battles, space battles EVERYWHERE)

Eh. They better give Halo 3 some treatment, because I think it deserves it. It was a solid end to the saga, until they brought it back and shit happened. 

 

Did they give the Multiplayer maps a graphics treatment, or were they just up-scaled to? Because I wanna see SandTrap in new graphics. MAMMOTH WARS!

All the maps are playable in their original graphics. Which is really fucking tripping when you turn on Halo 1 playlists.

 

I know they also got reskinned just couldn't figure out how to turn them on at the time (which isn't surprising as MCC is having a LOT of issues right now). It took us 30 minutes just to party up so we could do the campaign.

 

O fair warning: they didn't touch Halo 2's difficulty scale which means:

• Heroic = Legendary but harder due to snipers
  • So far the only weapon that's instant kill to Elites on this mode seems to be the RL - Shottie and Sword need 2-4 shots each...
• Legendary = one player die, all of you go back to the checkpoint

You sure you aint going into Skull Playlists? Because the only way that happens on Heroic is if you have Storm on and Iron on for Legendary. Some of the playlists are just set to be like that

Do you not remember the original Halo 2 campaign? It was the only one with a different Legendary setting to the others and was notorious for Jackel Snipers continually sending parties back to the checkpoint

Never played Halo 2. All of them but. Could never find it in shops, so I gave up when I heard about this, which explains my lack of knowledge.

 

However, just check the playlists, because that was something the mentioned.

Sigh, I really wished this came to pc. Can't get an xbox 1 yet but what I saw from the collection really makes me want to get it.
