If I buy the DLC from steam will it work with my disc because I don't have civ5 on steam but I've got it on disc?

Well when is the next Civ5 event. I missed the first because of work and then apparently it was a flop so you've never done another =/

If your game needs to activate on Steam then yes, if not then no. Some Steam games are sold on disc as well

Unsure of that one. It was a flop because one person didn't prep for it and ended up with bandwidth issues. Up until the point they quit it was good, bit lower turnout than expected but what can ya do.

 

I'll talk to Pilot an Naia sometime and see about the next event

Actually I did prep, but stuff I could not foresee happening suddenly happened on the day. I should be fine for whenever you re-attempt this though.

I meant take practical steps to offset the dork sister equation. Good to hear it's sorted though, I'll pass that on too

Well I don't have an issue as you had the last one starting around 12am or around there so no one would be internet as I'd be the only one awake.

Let me know if/when the next Civ5 game is =)

The last one started at 9am NZ, which at the time was 8pm UK. You couldn't attend as you were working from memory

Yep I was working. Couldn't remember the time you started but I knew I wouldn't return in time... I think if you started at 1am I could have jumped in if it was a quiet night and I rushed home =P

 

Also my memory must be shocking if I was out by a 4 hours on the time it started...

 

Still starting at 8 or 9pm should be fine for me. Would be better if it started a little later as I don't know who will still be on at that time...

Cru, as regards to ebony, he had about 10 people turn up on the day and start sucking the bandwidth dry - that was the problem (oh yeah, and 30 tabs worth of music streaming)

Yeah sounds familiar. Next time he can shoot his brother full of something immobilising so we can play uninterrupted
