Cru has just booked his warptravel to the Scotland over Xmas. I'll be there roughly 11th Dec - 9th Jan. Due to a policy change at work I wasn't able to pinch Annual leave from 2015 for this holiday, so money will unfortunately be rather tight. That said, it'd be cool if we can figure out if any of us can meet up somewhere for a beer/coke etc. Unless we talk it over we won't know if it's affordable or not!

 

Ya'll won't be able to relax though, because while I'm travelling (and therefore can't always get online) I'll be leaving Tugboat in charge. I fully expect most of you to be dead and twitching when I reconnect to the net, may The Emperor have mercy on your pathetic corrupted souls....

 

However however however.... I'll have regular net access when in the UK so I won't be gone for long ^~

 

(Mind you it'll still be the single longest period I have not been on GWRS in it's existance oO - I really need to get a life)

I don't think I'll be able to go all the way up to Scotland, but certainly the most northern parts of England. Not entirely sure on the dates though.

I live rather far down in the south and therefore Scotland is about 6 - 7 hours away from me...

I was thinking picking a central-ish location connected to most places by train would be the way to go. That way everyone who attends has to pay a little, but not too much.

 

Got stung yesterday by work, seems they changed a policy about leave in advance so I can't have my entire holiday 'paid' anymore. That'll trim $1k off my budget instantly, but should still be able to arrange something like meetup at a Brewers Fare or something

Depends on the price and accessibility. Might be cheaper for everyone to head to Manchester, or Newcastle - depends totally on cost for each person. We'll figure out who'd like to attend, then get everyones town and work from there

I'm going to attend, live in Sheffield and work at H.M.P Doncaster. Depending in the distance I may *CENSORED* a train down or ride my bike down and book a night in a very cheap hotel.

We can get group discounts, so if a few of us are going we can negotiate a slashed rate. Also means we're all staggering back to the same place and can support each other
