Just a little heads up there will be possible spoilers in here so if for some reason you haven't done this DLC and don't want to know what happens please stop reading here...

I recently completed Dead Money for the first time because I decided to finally think fuck those creepy looking fuckers, I'm going to grab my Hunting Shotgun, Enclave Power Armour and a Gatling Laser and fuck them all up.

Little did I know I'd appear with nothing but a bomb collar on my neck... =P

Now because I had completely basically everything else on Fallout New Vegas quite a few times I had grown comfortable knowing everything from The Divide to the Mojave and anything inbetween. When I went to Sierra Madre casino I was for the first time in a long time excited, fearful and filled with a sense of adventure which after years of playing Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 I'd lost.

Since this playthrough I was trying to be evil and with the NCR I played like a dick while going through the Sierra Madre area. I think that the radios being able to set off your collars made it a need for caution so that you can't go running around carelessly and this caused you have to be even more alert.

Know the Ghost People are possibly the most scary enemies I've seen in Fallout. Heavy breathing, freaky suits and do not speak but scream a bit when they find you. To me that is what makes them scary and the fact you need to remove a limb or they'll get back up. Just while exploring and hearing the heavy breathing usually made me tense up a bit.

Although I did read a little bit about how the Ghost People came to be with those Hazmat Suits eventually becoming locked on them with them stuck in a suit which made it hard to breath and unable to speak. Can't remember where those Terminal were but read some stuff about them.

Because I was being a dick to my companions I did actually have to kill Dean and Christine but Dog I helped bring back to sanity. That was because the other two didn't give me an option while talking to them.

I will probably have another playthrough with another character in the future as I quite enjoyed the layout and exploration. I would also like to find more intel on the history of the Casino.

Would have liked some very good weapon to pick up but there wasn't anything that good in Dead Money. Holorifle isn't that good as weapons you can get later or from Big Mountain and the Automatic Rifle isn't all that great because of a twenty round magazine. If I had a Bren which had a much larger clip I'd be happier... Although going around with a Battle Rifle (Or "This Machine"), Thompson and a Automatic Rifle it is always fun to act like a American soldier from WW II using only weapons used by the Americans in WW II also I guess you could say an 9mm Submachine Gun is kind of like a Grease Gun but I ain't going to use a piece of shit 9mm which can't do shit against people in armour...

But more on Dead Money I found it very enjoyable with its addition of problems that you need to solve to advance like finding radios and speakers to destroy or turn off all while searching for various people and things in a Casino and its surrounding area.

I do like how most of the DLC links in with each other. Adds in for a more expanded side story which is pretty nice. I like Fallout 3's DLC but its just extra adventures and what happened after Project Purification which don't get me wrong is very nice but I would have liked to see them all linked in a way but not much you can really do to expand Fallout 3's side stories as you were born/taken to a vault when you were young and there isn't much to do to expand that.

Just wonder what were other people's thoughts about Dead Money?

Moving to MMO/RPG as this is an RPG and does not come under Other Gaming. Warning will be issued later (can't do it reliably from work computer).

Wasn't a specific area for Fallout like the other games in the MMO/RPG area. Assumed it was for specific games like that but meh, I'll avoid posting shit for a while.

Dead Money was awesome, I just completed it yesterday. I went in with LOADS of stuff of as well, didn't know I'd have nothing after the gas :/. I was level 35 with most skills at 100 or 80 except unarmed (Intelligence 10 ftw), but I was playing on Hard with Hardcore so the Ghost People were always a bitch to kill...

The only weapons I was using was the Police Pistol and Throwing Spears for most of the game, always shooting for the head. All forms of explosives are worthless pieces of shit... They don't cripple the Ghost People in any way. Holorifle is the best weapon I have when you get all the mods for it (it still takes 5-8 shots to take down a local) at least until you find the Hunting Shotgun in the casino. The automatic rifle was good in desperate situations, but the scarcity of .308 ammo made it useless. The Clean Cosmic knife and Clean Knife Spear were pretty good, but unfortunately I had to stop using them because the Ghost People won't stop wrecking me...

I never died due to the explosive collar, except twice when in Sierra Madre trying to get to Dean, and 3 times at the very end escaping from the vault. The Ghost People killed me 4 times in all, 3 of which while going from the tower to the casino, on the 4th attempt I just ran past them all...

I honestly have no idea what the holograms do, I never actually agro'd any of them. The ones of Vera Keyes in the Casino though are creepy as fuck. I've also never been killed by the gas.

90% of all my Sierra Madre chips were spent on Stimpacks and Doctor Bags, the Ghost People were always wrecking the shit out of me...

I never actually talked to Dog, only at the end, I always left God in control.

At the end I restored Dog/God's sanity, convinced Christine not to kill Elijah, and killed Dean. I don't think there's an option to not kill Dean, but he's a dick considering what he did to Vera Keyes so who cares about him =P

A10 was there when I finished it, when his message popped up with a time stamp I only then realised it was nearly 6:00 AM...

Well I just used the Cosmic Knife Spear as when I used the police pistol I did very little damage and then I switched back to my Cosmic Knife Spear until I picked up a Bear Trap Fist as that usually broke a limb when I hit them. Made it much easier if you ask me.

I didn't get all of the mods actually. I missed the improved stability for the Holorifle, upgraded springs for the Bear Trap Fists and upgraded fire rate for Automatic Rifle.

I died a couple of times from collar exploding. Once when I was fighting Ghost People when I was in VATS they pulled back went into an area with a speaker and I always have lots and lots of Action Points so I didn't start leaving the area until my  collar was beeping very fast and died twice while searching for speakers in the Sierra Madre Casino.

To be honest I found the DLC incredible. Very enjoyable and I'm going to love doing the DLC again and again.

I just bought Stimpacks and mods when I found them. I now have 200+ Stimpacks... I find the best way to make loads of caps at the moment is just get the "Them's good eating" perk (I think that is what its called) it gives a 50% chance for an enemy you kill to drop Blood Sausage or Thin Red Paste worth 125 each and Blood Sausages 175 each and once you have about 10 of them you get quite a bit of caps for them and if you're in trouble they are very good at giving health back. I think Blood Sausage if I eat them I get 15+ health for a minute. I can't remember but its very good.

You can save Dean, at least I did. Just make sure you don't leave him SOL during the Gala event and talk to him in the theater. Forget what exactly happens in the theater but I think it also involves helping him.

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

I left the Holograms to distract the ghost people for him.

Dead money was really, really good. You came out of it with some really cool weapons, and the story was engaging and did not overstay its welcome. The most important part of the DLC to me was how it stripped you bear and gave you lots of dangers you would not be able to overcome, meaning my hilariously overpowered characters would still feel a sense of danger and distress against the enemy, instead of Stomping their way past everything without a slight glance.

How could my Chaos Space Marine possibly be this cute?

Less the strength of the weapons, more the design and stuff, they all looked cool.

Oh yeah some of the weapons were pretty awesome looking but were pretty shit.

It was one of those "Oh, fuck" moments when you learn you don't have any weapons and you have no armour... Was enjoyable though and gave an extra dose of fun rather than just kill this, kill that and so on...
