Sadly true.
So, news on the g*CENSORED*vine is that Grey Knights are the next release. usually, I wouldn't bring it up. BUT, the big news here is that the release is going to be codex only.
Possibly the first release where there are zero new models being produced outside of a digital only codex.
Some people have pointed out that this might be because the codex is being opened up to more generic C:SM toys. I think it's certainly interesting. The question is, what kits can they open up to GKs from C:SM?
Flyers are an option, and I can see the GKs getting access to Stormtalons.
Drop pods, though stupid seeing as most GKs can DS anyway, could happen.
Dreadnoughts may well be expanded to include the Ironclad.
Scouts, Devestators, Assault Marines, Tactical Marines and Terminators are all unlikely, as GK equivalents for those already exist, or else don't exist in current fluff - although GW retconning fluff to make a sale is far from unheard of. Yes, I do still hold the abomination that is 5th ED Necrons over them.
I personally wonder what the cause is for no models. Seems ot me that GW would jump at the chance to push a new flyer/superheavy/megawalker for any faction. GK had Dreadknights and Stormravens, but I doubt that would stop GW from releasing something if they could... so, why not?
I wonder if the production side of things have taken a hit financially? Perhaps the design team?
