Hey does anyone know what the best order is to watch through the Gundam series?

 

Just want to know before I start watching one series that will not make much sense unless I watch this or that series.

Depends on the series mate...there are almost as many alternate universes as the Marvel Universe

 

Gundam Wing is a classic...nice long series then concludes with Endless Waltz

 

You have the universal century that starts with the first incarnation of Gundam EVER (it's baad, imo) then is followed by several better series in the same universe. In the majority of the cases, you can watch the different series independently and you won't be extremely confused. The oder goes

Mobile Suit Gundam (it's vintage..read: baaaad)
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team (Really good, I highly recommend it)
Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket
Gundam the Ride: A Baoa Qu
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (I enjoyed this one as well)
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Gundam Neo Experience 0087: Green Divers
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn
Mobile Suit Gundam F91
Mobile Suit Victory Gundam

 

There's the Dragonball Z with robots incarnation known as G Gundam. You can't take it seriously, but it's a hoot to watch

Hmmm, I remember watching Gundam years and years ago and my memory is pretty hazy only really remembering Char, the Principality of Zeon, Zakus, Gelgoog, the game Mobile Suit Gundam for PS2. Also I think I remember some stuff about the Principality of Zeon also using colonies and asteroids as weapons against the Earth Federation.

 

The A Baoa Qu sounds familiar. I think there might have been a map around that. Can't remember which level it was though.

 

What do you recommend I start with? Gundam Wing?

I would...probably my favorite next to 08th MS Team and 0083 Stardust Memory (really liked that one)

0083 was awesome, all the new ones seem to me like rehashes of gundam wing.

Well I looked through a lot of different series not really following most of them but I did find the one I remember and that was Mobile Suit Gundam: 0079 being the series I watched as a child. Never did watch them all since Cartoon Network cut the series before it finished. I recognize some of the songs/soundtrack when they start playing though. =D

Chill Emp...everyone's entitled to their opinions. None of the new series grabbed me either, but no one said a thing about gunpla (which is a fine hobby I used to indulge in myself)

Basically a fancy term for building Gundam (or I would imagine other mecha as well) model kits. Like model airplanes...but Gundams...basically
