Nice.
Do you do anything special for green? Or just stick to the one layer? It's hard to tell with model size vs picture.
I know a great method for tarnished bronze/gold with slight silver highlghts if your're interested.

That's a really cool army, shame it's not 100% usable, but it's really nice nonetheless.
How could my Chaos Space Marine possibly be this cute?

I'm not sure on the modern paint names, but for gold I did this:
- Basecoat 50:50 mix Scorched Earth with Dwarven Bronze
- Layer of Dwarven Bronze. Minus the most deep recesses
- A highlight/layer of Shinig Gold on slightly more raised areas
- Wash 30:70 Devlan Mud with Gryphon Sepia, or just Gryphon Sepia. Optionally can be watered down a bit.
- Fine highlight of 50:50 mix Mythril Silver with Shining Gold
Afraid I don't have my collection available to me to show a picture of my Sanguinary Guard, they were the last thing I painted and were stunning.
If 3D Printing becomes commercial and forces Games Workshop to charge fair and reasonable prices I might get back into the hobby, but never the game.

For that I remember using a black basecoat followed by that new white foundation paint avoiding the recesses, then layering that with skull white. Seriously hard not to let it spill into the recesses.

I know someone who has an entire army mostly consisting of 3D printed Orks and they work quite well for him. Buy single models off Ebay, scan and reproduce. It's legal unless you ever sell or gift it onwards, so legally your army has no resell value but who gives a fuck - orks never change

Depends on the printer I bet.
No intention of getting one, just want to see it drive Games Workshop's prices down, I may get a 3D Printer if they get cheaper than the models currently are. I'd still purchase GW's paints and etc however if I do pick the hobby back up.

With 3D printing though, the surfaces aren't entirely smooth though
True, but good for bulk armies like Nids and Orks

My lecturer just showed off his new toy (he shows off a bunch of expensive crap to make students cry...) a nano 3D printer, he made a replica 20p to perfect detail.
Considering it's £200 and can likely replicate small GW models/parts perfectly I'm getting more and more tempted to buy one...
EDIT: wait but then there's the high cost of a detailed 3D scanner... anyone think someone has made scans of GW's entire product line publicly available?

Predator and Drop Pod were < $5 each in filament cost. That's $US and a fuck ton less than even ebay
Some 3D printed models are actually better looking that the mass produced models sold by GW, I remember seeing a Forest Dragon that looked better that some of the Fantasy models

That is a Badass looking army. Ill be using your and JC's paint tips if I ever get into Salamanders. But soooo much orks left to paint.
Vulkan looks especially awesome! I love that you gave him the proper onyx skin and red eyes. A lot of salamander players shy away from doing the skin properly. or just use helmets.
