you ghost through the ruins of what was once an old radio tower facility. The derelict tower of the old world looms above like a rusted monolith, ready to fall at any moment before you realize, the men are moving with purpose.

 

Skulking behind one of the com,ms buildings you see two men in hazmnmat suits talking. 

 

"The time needs to be pushed up.... With the slaughter aspect on the field.... We cant wait for coerus to be brought here... That thing is just going to rampage all over.."

 

An alarm blares and you see the mens attention snap up.

 

" the hell?!"

Giving an annoyed grunt at the timing of whatever caused the alarm, Dervenin drawed a revolver as he stepped out of where he was stalking and put a round in one of the men while launching at himself at the other with his free hand, aiming to grab his throat and pin him against the truck. There was information here he needed, mostly where everyone would be heading for the evacuation. But if he had the time, this 'slaughter' aspect and why they're waiting for coreus, and why they would be wearing hazmats. He was growing to hate this day ever more by the hour.

the man drops dead with a meaty thud , and the second claws at your grip in terror.

 

'What..who are you...What is..."

 

the sound of screaming, and an unfamiliar oppressive feeling fills the air as you can hear a small sigh in your head.

 

"Continue the mission dervenin.."

 

Nightmare says, his voice an annoyed throb in your head.

 

"I will handle this.."

'Yes sir.' Dervenin said as acknowledgment to what Nightmare said. He wasn't sure as to what the hell was going on this time, but if it was something worth having bossman himself come intervene without even being asked, the old ghoul doubted he wanted any part of it. With his hand still firmly clasped around the guys neck, he stared right through the lenses of the hazmat and into the man's eyes. "Where's the Evacuation point of this facility? Is that were all the eggheads are going? Tell me and I'll give you the chance to run for your life." He questioned in a quick terse voice, wanting to keep it quick while giving the guy some incentive as to tell him some information.

the man nolds frantically, pointing to a hallway that goes down.

 

"They scientists are all going downstairs! they are going to get into the armored vehicle ! if you go fast youll get them! Just dont kill me!"

 

the aura ggrows stronger and soon you see a young woman walk into the area you are. Just her prescence is stifling. YOur mind screams in warning as she stands there. The sound of hundreds of nails on steel screaming in alarm as the red haired woman parts her crimson flood of hair to look directly at you.

 

'' YOu smell like him..."

 

she says in a dreamy voice.

 

"older brothers son....Where is he?"

 

as she begins to wobble before you you see that hair of hers beginning to morph into vicous, raptor like face that snap and snarl.

 

"Nightmare.,...WHere is he! WHERE IS CAIN!"

 

the creatures made by the girls har begin to lash out, tearing through steel and concrete like a focused water hose, shearing the harcx substancesa with terrifying ease. The man goes limp and you look down to see him cut perfectly in half and a sefcond later, nightmare puts a hand on your shoulder.

 

"Run along Dervenin.."

 

He says, moving in front of you protectively as he moves his body betyween you and the woman.

 

"I will handle her.... Go on.."

 

the woman stops for a moment and her eyes narrow as she makes a raspy noise, some language long lost that nightmare reciprocates, getting into a heated conversation

"Right, family thing, got it." Dervenin said more to himself since he doubted either of them were really paying attention to him right now, quickly taking his leave and heading to the stairs that lead down to find the armored transport he was told of. He was telling the truth, he was going to let the scientist have a fair chance of running for his life, mostly cause he was sure he would make the shot at whatever pitiful distance that man could have covered. But that was thrown out of the window when that red headed demon woman decided to show up. If it wasn't for the fact that his skin was already a whitish grey, it would be obvious the old ghoul paled considerably after being in the presence of TWO god like people in the same room, one of them seeming to have much less restraint than the other. "I would say I'm not paid enough to deal with this kind of shit...but that would be implied I'm being paid at all." he said, trying to get his mind off from pondering just how close he was to being a mess of gore on the floor if he had pissed her off on accident.

you get downstairs to see a massive room like an air hangar. In the far side, facing a massive tunnel you see the trucks being loaded, several scientists and guards are hauling tools and specimens into a tuck . One of their faces snap up and two gaurds draw rifles, sendign a deluge of bullets your way as you are forced behind a metal container.

 

To your right is a large network of shipping containers that looks like better cover than the wooden crates you are hiding behind, but the men are reasonably able to be picked off if you risk the gunfire

With a time limit imposed on him by not only the evacuating scientists but the red headed power house back upstairs, the old ghoul dared the incoming gunfire with a combat roll to throw off the guard's aim before rising up with one pistol raised to snap off two shots, throwing his trust in his own ability as well as his ghoul physiology to take a couple of rounds in compensating for getting the few seconds he needed to shoot.

The shots land, dropping two guards as one of the scientists drops something.

A wicked mist raises into the air as he is visibly melted like a wax doll , making the other break for a run toward a door going to the surfqce

"What the hell was that shit?!" He asked out loud after seeing the results of whatever vapor was in that container made the scientist's flesh slough away like soup. But seeing the other one make a run for it cut his pondering short. Leveling out his revolver, he took his time to make sure his aim was good for this and sent another slug toward the person's center mass.

the shot tears through the mans torso and he slumps over, gurgling pitifully as he grips his side .

 

"Fuck .."

 

he whines in pain as blood leaves him in gouts.

 

"no..Fuck..."

Letting the other Scientist bleed out on the floor, and trying to avoid the spot where the container with the melting gas fell, Dervenin tried to quickly examine the convoy to find anyone else that may be hiding or if there were signs that one of the trucks had left before he had got here. With how pear shaped things were going, he was at least trying to follow the order from bossman in not letting one of these scientists leave this facility. "Just what the hell were they trying to take with them anyways?" he wondered, since these men were trying to take things with them rather than just evacuate the moment they could.

the scientist hisses, pulling something out of his poiclet and hitting a button. All around you, certain barrels begin to beep, and the sound of countdowns can be heard.

"You cocksucking son of a bitch!" Dervenin shouted as he now raced towards the road the trucks would have taken to leave the facility, changing midstride into his monsterous reptilian like form to pick up further speed and escape whatever was about to be unleashed in the explosion, such as more of that 'melting' gas. This was the second time in this day alone he had to metamorph into his other to escape danger, seems to be a running pattern today and mad him wonder if something is trying to tell him something.

you manage to get out and away, just as the explosion erups outward.

 

 

everything and everyone in that room dies, but you manage to round the corner just in time to avoid the blast.

 

your ears ring, your body aches from the blast, but you can feel nightmares mind reaching for you.

 

"I need you to make a shot for me.... right about now."

Instead of answering his boss, he understood that what or who ever Nightmare wants dead must either be passing him by or is next to him in the confines of the underground tunnels and drew back out one of his revolvers and searched the area for a target, trying not to give himself away either. He was at least thankful for keeping his mouth closed during the explosion, he had heard to many times of when bombs used on underground facilities and what happens to air when a sudden vacuum is created, usually pulling peoples lungs out through their mouth due to the sudden suction.

as you skulk the hallways , you can hear the pitter patter of feet.

 

 

"move it you little monster, im going to get some good money off you!"

a gruff voice growls as a child can be heard grunting and stumbling from exertion.

 

"pl...Please stop! MY ARM HURTS! WHY ARE YOU...oW!"

THE SOUND OF  something heavy hits the floor and nightmares mind throbs again.

 

"Kill the one trying to abduct the child..."

Dervenin moved forward, one revolver up and ready, as he searched for an adult silhouette due to the information he was given so far and understanding the child was probably on the ground now. The moment he saw will be the moment he pulls the trigger on the hand cannon, aiming for center mass as usual.
