Apulo Black Templar Army
Nox Eldar Army
When we play out the game we will take screenshots and put up a battle report. Maybe others will look into this and we can set up regular matches using the table top via Vassal. Maybe even do a competition.

Same. I've only played 40k a few times, and that was quite awhile ago. I'd really like to play.

roll for first turn
set up your armies and cover
Decide game type
Annihilation-kill enemy team
seize ground- cap and hold objective for a set amount of turns
NIght fight-seek and destroy at night when your units are hindred
Raider-Pillage an enemy teams supply line more than they do
Stop the ritual- kill the enemys special unit to stop the coming exterminatus/damon summoning
Destroy the idol-destroy the enemy teamms heraldric idol
Siezing the initative-the enemy tries to take first turn, sometimes they do, sometimes they dont
Movement-i need not explain this
shooting-this is self explainitory, this is also the phase when most ranged spells are used
assault-This is the phase where weapons like flamers, and their ilk will be used
close combat-Where a majority of the action is, depending on the armies at play you may end up rolling 40-50 dice
reconciling depending on wether you win or loose combat, this will bee when your units take their morale/leadership checks, retreat or stay put, or get overran
end turn
If this turns out to be a good way to play, i just like dom will be glad to play with anyone who is interested, i usually play at my local gw, but if i cant make it id rather play with yall

The only thing that one really misses out on is the LoS of terrain as you are in an overhead position. As such Apulo and I, when we designed the terrain, clearly established what places would be blocking line of sight. We are even going to roll our own dice rather than trust to computer dice, because we trust that neither one of us will lie about our numbers. In essence this is the play chess by e-mail form of Warhammer 40k. The game has not changed in the least, just the way you accomplish the same goal. Tuesday evening Apulo and I will commence the turns.
