Basically these orientations (handily displayed in terms you can associate with) will dictate what actions your character can and cannot do. If you are Lawful Good you can't set people on fire, but if you're Chaotic Evil you can't save peoples lives.

Consider the implications of your choice carefully.

Anyway, back on serious topic. The image in the spoiler is a decent representation of your character attitude.

It may seem weird to stick within one moral structure, but it's highly satisfying when you see yourself develop. Plus no one trusts people who tweak out and change personality every chance

On the flip side Alignment is generally a guideline, not a structure. Yes people don't just flip around on a whim, but due to events people can fall or rise up in moral fortitude. Even a wonderfully good person can be jaded by events or circumstances, and an evil person can see the good in others if presented with it in the right manner, so while I am very pleased that Crucias put up this guide for people with easy to understand gamer representation, don't feel trapped by it. People do change.

Everyone starts in the centre, and your actions take you towards one of the outer edges. Once you become a certain alignment you gain it's benefits and costs. If you flip between the outer ones too much you loose respectability and "trust" ~ generally
