I don't give a shit about Matt Ward. Matt Ward did the Blood Angels. Ultramarines =/= Matt Ward.

I actually don't mind the Ultramarines. Yeah they have a lot, lore wise, that I despise, but overall I like the "concept" behind them. In an Imperium that is in stagnation and a mere shadow of what it was, the citizens of Ultramar maintain the image of greatness that humanity could have achieved should the Great Crusade have fulfilled it's purpose and the Horus Heresy never happened. They stand as a beacon for not only what humans could have accomplished during that time, but what they can still accomplish in a galaxy bent only on their destruction.

THAT is how I view the Ultramarines, the greatest the "common" (please note this word) man can achieve in his life. Almost all the other chapters have some kind of special thing they can say about their world, but the Ultramarines recruit out of the populace of hardy, devoted people who just live their lives as any in the Imperium, in the Emperor's name (albeit with a lot more success due to the governorship of the Ultramarines).

Their strength in battles lies in their discipline and logistics.


That said, I would love to see an Ultramarines chapter join us here.

The ultra marines are strict and disciplined. There is no same in that. I think most people shy away from them is because they would get all the attention from games work shop as far as new models and codex'. They are know for this and I think it just stuck. They same thing is happening with the Blood Angels they have (Ever since Matt fucked up the codex) gotten a "broken" reputation. I have always enjoyed the fluff of the 13th legion.

Since marketing is driven by popularity it would be either:

Space Marine 2 - Wings of Blood, or

Space Marine 2 - Templar's Duty

as they are the ones getting the most attention over the last few years. Space Wolves are also really popular, but I see them less likely to be a front runner because their popularity rests wholly with their fans. Black Templars and Blood Angels are more widely liked and used.

Being as hunting the Fallen means you have to kill everything, Imperial and enemy alike. No, I would not want to go through the 40k universe hunting the Fallen.

makes it interesting that way. involve space travel - think mass effect.
Then infiltrating enemy territory to strike at your targets. Make it so your starting as a scout fighting through the ranks. give it a RPG feel.
