Katrina nods and stows her gear, whilst checking her bike for anything that she did not put herself. Placing her goggles on she starts the bikes engine. Again she nods.

the woman takes off, heading out of the derelict sanctum with practised ease.

The moon is setting but a bracing chill is in the air. The howl of ghouls can be heard in the distance as the silencer slows down, letting you get to her side.

" yes. This is supposedly a ho siht outpost road. Ghouls would be thinned out by snipers ..... This is not good."

She revs up and leads you down the path until you see the source of her concern .

A huge outpost, ho siht symbol la adorning the walls lies in ruin. Personnel lay in great piles amoung at the piles of undead.

" how in the hell... Did a putpost town get pulled down?"

She asks, looking around in the eerie solence

"Looks like a herd has migrated. Options. We go off road and work round or blast through. Personnaly Id rather avoid than risk needlessly but your the guide."

she shakes her head.

"this town is a breaker town..A ho soiht herder outpost. This towns walls can only be opened from within."

she points to the doors that lay open lazily.

"i want to check the server room before we go...Come with me."

she dismounts from her bike and walks into the town square, inspecting the bodies

Katrina takes a little more caution. She makes sure her guns are ready and equipment secure. She searches for signs of movement among the mass of bodies.

You catch the faintest movement . A shift that sends several bodies rolling off the pile.

Two putrid , rotting eyes stare directly at you from the pile. It considers your every move carefully from its vantage in the pile, not moving anything withing the tangle but its eyelids

Sensing no imediate threat she continues to advance. Checking often on her guides possition and keeping her within view.

the eyes follow you, and just as you get out of range youhear a frustrated growl and see the pile shift slightly.


Your guide is standing next to a pile of ho siht peacekeepers, she check the body of one who wears a captains badge and sighs.

The bodies are cold, your fingers puj into an open wound an you can se that the bodies have been left here for at least a week .

You hear a sickening hack an your guild whirls around.

All around you, ghouls are rising , their eyes considering you with primal hunger . They lumber at you , surrounding you on all sides .

Fuck!"

She spits drawing her rifle and loading.

" this is not good!"

She drops two ghouls an points to the main bunker.

" haul ass princess unless you want to end up like these keepers!"

Katrina growls "I'm surprised you lived this long, walking into such an obviouse trap." She looks ahead for a reasonably safe route to the bunker then "ahh fuck it!" She begins running gun in each hand ready to defend herself.

The silencer easily outpaces you.

" obvious yes? Is that why you followed me like a lamb?"

She laughs getting to the bunkers door and inputting am override into the keypad.

The machine beeps in a negative answer and she growls , ripping the underside of the machine and begins fiddling with it.

" be a dear and hold them for a few seconds."

The ghouls press closer , two charging the instant they are within 15 yards. The move like ravenous easts, hunched low dragging their clawed fingers out to grip your throat.

The ghouls drop, twitching pathetically as they are relieved of their heads .

There is a loud roar and the ghouls stop their charge, turning to the pile that house the ghoul that had watched you.

The pile explodes and a large hulk of limps and corpses shakes its improsonment free.

A large beast, formed of the limbs of the ghouls of the pile lets out an angry roar and turns toward you pushing its corpulent bulk at you with hungry intent
