Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances introduces an all new way to play in the C&C universe with a browser-based, free to play strategy MMO game.
Based on the Command & Conquer Tiberium universe, your skills as a Commander will be put to the test as you enter the fight for resources and world domination.
Build up your base, optimize your resource production and discover new attack and defend tactics as you prepare Player vs. Player and Player vs. Environment battles.
Most importantly, you will need to build up strategic alliances to coordinate massive attacks and support each other for the fight over Tiberium.
Why Are We Mentioning This?
J0ker and I play this religiously, and when it shakes off the shakles of Beta and moves to a real game, we would like to form an "Alliance" with a mix of Nod and GDI on some new world (server).
This is the type of game you spend an hour in the morning on, and an hour in the evening on. Resources take some time to gather, and command points take time to regenerate.
You have 3 areas to manage, Base, Defence and Offence (for each base you make of course). Attacking basically means you select a target, and place your units anywhere on the attack grid you want. They then move straight forward engaging the enemy. It's quite simple to manage, the tricky bit is making sure you read the strengths of your units, and some buildings have modifiers to production when placed near others.
Essentially it's a really really sweet and reasonable simple side-game and you don't have to spend any money at all. Though you can pay for ingame things if you want.
