Rules- 5 man player limit (max per side)
- Best of 3
- Game and Limits:
- Siege 1500
- Annihilation 100
- CTF - 5
- Dreadnought - 30
The above must never be deviated from, or it will screw the entire tournament scoring system. 5-player limit is to accommodate chapters who do not have 6 or more members. This limit also makes the game far more intimate and tactical. Your entire chapter roster is eligible at all times to compete in the team, only non-GW teams need to register their members (so we can track who belongs to whom).
Rules can be anything a chapter wishes them to be: weapon restriction, no perks, no class changing, pistols only, etc etc. Anything goes, the only thing you cannot do is force one class (eg all Tactical) because some chapters have players that only ever play a certain class.
Armour schemes are simply the chapter/warband you choose to represent. You're reverse faction armour can be whatever you want, but you must all wear the same chapter/warband colors. So if you are playing as Blood Ravens when loyalist, you must all be using Blood Raven colour schemes, this can be a mix of DLC and custom.
Note: The team whose rules you are currently playing should be hosting that match, this is to balance out lag-generated-advantage
Note 2: You cannot pick a mode or map if all players do not own it!
Gametypes and RulesEach team picks 1 map, 1 gametype and specifies 1 set of rules. This covers 2 of the 3 games.
The third game is picked by the disadvantaged team, that is the loosing team after round 1 and 2. In the event of a draw, the lowest scoring team picks.
Siege: 1 Siege Point = 1 Victory Point
Annihilation: 1 Kill = 15 Victory Points
CTF: 1 Capture = 300 Victory Points
Dreadnought: 1 D.A. Point = 0.02 Victory Points
Use the above to calculate total score in the event of a draw (if you cannot clearly see who is the loosing team). The team with the lowest Victory Point score is the loosing team.
Permanent Rules- No trash talking
- No spawn camping*
- No glitching
* Defined as shooting into homepoints or killing when they exit. On some maps this will block heavy defence of some points (like B and C on Hab Centre). Note: You may not shoot from the homepoint either, fair is fair.
Reporting ScoresEach team leader returns reports of the following for BOTH teams
If they match, then they are allocated as the match results. If they do not match, the umpires will attempt to fix it by contacting match leaders. Worst score for each team will be allocated if a matchup cannot be reached.
Note on ForfeitureThis is an eye-for-an-eye tournament, should any team refuse to play by another teams game-type/rules/map then that team will take an automatic loss
for that round only. If they were to have won the other round, that would create a draw, in this case, the non-forfeiting team picks the ruletype again; however, they must not pick the same (identical) combination which caused the original forfeit, they can however choose some parts of it.
Also, refusing to play any other chapter for whatever reason constitutes an automatic loss. Since pairings are controlled by the Umpire, everyone will play everyone else at least once.
If a team forfeits too many times they will be dishonourably discharged from the tournament. It's a game, and you are all expected to show good sportsmanship. What constitutes too many times will be judged on a case by case basis, and then peer reviewed before action taken.
Prize (Gothic Wars Only)Aside from bragging right that is!
First Place: Purity Seal on Chapter Banner
Second Place: Service Stud on Chapter Banner
If it's possible to change prizes for the better, then we will.
Limits on EntryOnly people who have been banned, are currently suspended, or have a pending suspension from Gothic Wars may not enter this competition. Only leaders of squads must be registered, though all Gamertags must be listed under your team members when registering (so people cannot swap or be mercenaries). These lists will be publicly available to team leaders only.
Just to clarify, chapters not on Gothic Wars can still take part, they only need to register the leader in order to receive pairings and return scores. Chapters not on this site can volunteer a player to be the "leader" for this purpose, it does not have to be the actual chapter leader.
