I currently play Black Templars with the intention of starting Chaos Space Marines (already have a Nurgle Daemon Prince and 10 Plague Marines painted) and/or Imperial Guard (I love tanks and Super-Heavies). When I do Chaos, I plan on doing Black Legion running Abaddon along with multiple units from various Chaos God followers (ie. Khorne Berzerkers, Thousand Sons, Noise Marines, Plague Marines, etc.) since Abaddon in the fluff was able to bring the divided legions together and the armies when painted well, just look sweet all together. Imperial Guard is more for Apocalypse games, where I can field lots of tanks and super-heavies, titans, and whatever goodness I can afford to just blast the crap out of everything.

I live in the city (Milwaukee, WI) and therefore there are numerous gaming shops including a couple Games Workshop locations which I can meet other players but I understand what some of you are saying about the lack of people to play with. When I first started out, I am not the type to just walk into a gaming store and just make friends, kinda shy I guess. I did a search online for 40k players in my area and met a few that way so perhaps some of you could try the same? A few emails back and forth and the next thing you know you are playing some games. Just a thought! I realize some people are out in the middle of nowhere and don't have much option, but for those of you who live near civilization lol, try searching online or find shops somewhat close and try to make new friends.

Overall, I started this hobby not because of the game, but because I like to paint the models. In fact, if I never played a game every I would still be happy just painting, but that is me. Ok, enough rambling from me for now
