Apulo has once again waved his wand of awesomeness.
Now Faction Leaders and XO's can assign awards via the ModCP in a similar fashion to how they already process applications.
Simple login to ModCP and hit "Awards" off the left navigation menu. There is a username search box, but it only works for members of your specific chapter.
Only Admins can grant cross-faction awards

Yes, to add awards you need to submit a ticket under Technical as it requires 2 different Admins to be involved. However, there is no way to separate the awards other than Available and Unavailable. Your BT one would be accessible to all other chapter leaders. They would have to act properly and not use it

Thank you very much; I have already used this feature to recognize members of my young chapter for their hard work getting things together. Because we're such a small chapter we have relatively few leadership positions (Captains, Chaplains, etc), so this is an excellent way to let my people know that their contributions matter. Again, THANK YOU.
I had an idea for a new award that I would like to present for consideration: Venerable Dreadnought
My intent for this award would be to recognize the service of a member who has worked hard for the Chapter, but for one reason or another has had to step down from a position of leadership. One example is a Captain who steps aside because his real life commitments are taking up all the time he would otherwise devote to his chapter and company. Another example would be a member who has served for a long time but has decided to move on to another faction; or some similar departure from a position of responsibility.

can you change it so that when there is a faction application it comes up like a message so i can see them?
