This may not be the correct place to post this, but I was curious about something.

I am not -primarily- a 40k follower. I have always been interested in it and have recently (within the past couple of years) been able to get into it, pick up the story, and carry on. So unlike most everyone here I am not as versed in events beyond the general information.

I am a heavy RPer, however, and I enjoy myself some creative meshing and continuity. The RP that I was a part of here kind of fizzled out and was placed on hold. I have been itching to get back into something - perhaps run an RP, but I feel that my overall knowledge of the universe prohibits me from doing this. As such it brought me to this following question :

Being the extensive RPer that I am, and seeing as I follow several different Universes, are we restricted to 40k based RPs? I know that this is a 40k grounded site and I don't mean any disrespect, but I figure that we all have random interests outside of the game and maybe sometime you want to take off the armor, put down the bolter, slap on an Omni tool, and get to work on the Geth. Or hand to hand a Covenant Elite. You get the point.

Anyway - hopefully this is the correct section and perhaps I can get some feedback on this.

There is nothing against making a Rp that is not warhammer 40k, heck have you seen Sancturay and Warhammer fanstasy forums? They have nothing to do with 40k, Sancturay being it's own unique universe created by one guy, Thugren. I see no problem with this. Have you consider in applying to be the moderator for the casual rp section? Domine has not been around for months now and so is in need of a new one I think. It is up to you what you want, many options are open here.

Well, I know where you're going with the free will of it - but coming off as far as saying "Today I would like to organize a Mech based RP" and then move on from there with several different genre, I wouldn't want to incite some Anti-40k universe riot in the community.

I wouldn't mind residing over a section in the RP section as long as it were truly "General" and not a dedicated section. Gundam RP here, Halo RP there, My Little Pony , etc - anything that wouldn't fall under the 40k Universe.

Suppose the clearance and self education is what I'm seeking. I personally like to be creative and very active, so being able to branch out in as many directions as possible is a huge thriller.

PS. - Kidding about the pony thing.. I just love bringing that up anytime I have a chance.

Edit : Looking at the current section, there seems to be little information stating that it's good to start off-genre RP's. Perhaps that could be added to the description. Also it seems very disorganized in the Casual RP section. That place needs some cleanup/organization tactics, bad.

i have been thinking of staring a new RP, the last one i run i have to put on hold because of college but im free right now to do a new or finish that (if they members wish me to finish the RP, send a PM if you do )

to start a RP, all you need to do is start a thread in the RP section, post a little bit of info and tell people to PM you their characters and such things, if you need help, feel free to ask

Appreciated! But, what I meant was in order to get that section a little bit organized? ^^ I'm a sucker for organization and clean layouts.

the section is in order, the only thing that needs is a moderator since Nox is away, all the RP there are lock, buy anyone can start a new thread there, the only thing that i can say is that dont post several threads just for 1 rp, 1 thread for 1 RP, that is how it works in the casual area, if you want to have several threads or several RP that are very similiar, example, santuary and warhammer fantasy, then you must talk with a admin or mod to get a sub forum, but i recommend first that you get several people that are willing to play in the RP before you ask for a sub forum, i say this because making a new sub forum is asking the staff to do more jobs

Anyway, if you want to run an RP then just go ahead and do so. You have to join the RP group to see the RP forums though, that was a requested feature to stop RP spamming View New Posts of non-RPers

In all seriousness, I had wondered if he vanished. Guess so. I'll go ahead and see what I can experiment with. My rules are a little different than what everyone is used to - so hopefully it'll go over well. Time to make a poll.

Just remember to start it in the Roleplay area, some members really don't like seeing RP Replies clogging their View New Posts.
