as you are lead across the street you can see tayla standing on a corner, working with some rough looking mercenaries, she turns and looks at you with a smile. "well ill be damned....Dante babe is it really you?"

Dante breaks into a genuine smile. It WAS her after all. "You know it sweetheart. Been kinda lonely at the office without you around."

He turns to Hunter. "What was that about her being a pain in the ass?"

Hunter shrugs

She us a pain she's a slave driver I'm not afraid to say it

Twyla giggles an shakes her head

" screw you too hunter... Anyway what brings you here Dante?"

"A job actually...but you know how I manage to mix business and pleasure." He winks at her. "From what Hunter tells me, you've been pretty busy yourself. Guess He's not used to your method of getting the job done." Dante adds with a smirk "Or he's just not into that. It took me 4 hours to get out of those handcuffs you left me in by the way."

Taylor shrugs as she opens up a garage showing her motorcycle .

" than your not too good at it either hun... Now I'm heading to the meeting point you coming?

"Hell yeah baby...I've heard a lot about this Cain...it's definitely time for a meeting. Then maybe we can catch up afterwards."

Finally, things looked like they were starting to go Dante's way he thought as he went to retrieve his own bike.

Tayla's appearance seemed a sign...good or bad, he would have to find out. At very least, things were about to get more interesting.

Taylor crank her cycle to life with a deafening roar as hunter hops into a sleek Japanese model an pulls it up beside you

"Let's ride then!" Dante smiles. He thinks better of challenging her to a race remembering losing a sizable wager last time.

In the back of his mind, excitement brews....this much closer to meeting the legendary Cain

Tayla kicks the ignition and her bike roars as her and hunter take off into the night dusting you quickly

The trip is long and peaceful.., but in the distance dark smoke fills the air..

The smell of bloodshed fills your nostrils as tayla stops suddenly

She gasps as she looks down into the ruins of a city .

Bodies lay in lines on either side of the street and at the center of the town a huge pyre of the dead smolder silently.

Dante pulls up next to Tayla. "What the fuck happened here?" He wipes the dirt from the road off his face. "And they say ghouls are the animals" He mutters. Whatever the case, this was clearly the work of an organized group of humans, "human" being a loose term these days.

tayla looks around, and in the center of the town stands two figures... One brandishes a mighty club doubling the height of a man, and the other is a hunched, wicked looking creature with massive bone covered fists

Dante raises an eyebrow at Hunter. "You mean those two aren't with you people?! Shiiiit...." He subtly reaches for the AA-12...odds were, He was about to need it.

If He decided to finish the Cain job, He was seriously going to have to raise the price. Suffice to say, He was beginning to feel underpaid

One of the figures looks up seeing the group and begins to move toward them.

Step by ponderous step the figure moves , a massive club, bigger than his own considerable height , turning slowly its accomplice lets out a bloodthirsty roar and charges, bloodied fists swinging

Dante racks the bolt on the AA-12, chambering a round. "So they wanna play, huh?" Reaching into his coat, the mercenary pulls a frag grenade out. Pulling the pin out with his teeth, He throws lobs it toward the two creatures. "This one's on the house!"

snarling wrath slams his fist into the grenade as it flies sending it back to hunter in time to explode and send him spinning away in a wreckage.


tayla yelps seeing hunter land in a broken heap and wrath lunges forward, swinging his fists in fury

"Son of a bitch...now I remember why I don't use grenades very often." Dante curses. Right now, He couldn't check on Hunter...He had to kill these fucking things before they killed ALL of them

"All right...y'all wanna dance...let's dance." Drawing the sword Apollyon, Dante charges at Wrath. No bullshit, no guns...just blood. Closing the distance, the mercenary swung the mighty sword at the beast

The beast charges and you put your blade right through its chest with a loud crunch.

It hangs there for a moment, looking at the blade in suprise before letting out a bloodthirsty howl, slamming its fist into your side and sending you and your sword sprawling.


It's comrade advances in hunter, it's mace raised and tayla opens fire , once, twice , three times.

Each shot simply plunks off the lumbering behemoths armor ineffectually and with agonizing slowness you watch the mace descend.

The sound is something you'll never forget, the meaty thud of bones crunching and pulping under the weapons immense weight rings like a siren in your ears followed by nightmares laughter.

" your going to die here Dante... Unless.. You want me to save you..."

The gentleman at the back of Dante's psyche refuses to see Tayla suffer the same fate as Hunter. For that matter, He wasn't too keen on dying himself.

"Fine Nightmare. Let's kill these bastards. But leave the girl alone."
