This song is from a Swedish band.
Pain with Shut Your Mouth!

This song is special to me, and I have a reason for it being so:
In my town, there is a music festival every summer. Mostly bad music, and truckloads of drunken idiots. But way back then, when I was 17, one band stood out among all others: Pain.
To be honest, I hadn't heard of them, but my friend was in fire and flame about them. So of course I pretended to know about them.. It was not like I would get to see them. The concert was in the middle of the night, and I barely got to go by my self during the day time previous years... (Drinking age in Sweden is 18.)
But as out of a miracle my Father let me go all by my self. Even gave me enough money to have a good time.
So, I got myself the 3 miles (30km), into town, met up with my friends, and start to enjoy our self. As if the first miracle wasn't enough, another happens right there and then. I met not one, but two girls who took a fancy to me. They may have been drunk, but why would a 17 years old care about that?
The night went on, and it was time for the concert. We went there, and my friends went into the midst of the crowd. I, on the other hand, retreated to a grassy knoll overlooking the stage with my two companions. There, on that grassy knoll, under a starlit sky, in a city filled with music, people and festivities, with a girl under each arm, and a great band on stage, I felt for the first time that I was free. Truly free. Every time I hear this song, I remember that time. Maybe its corny, but it precious to me. Either way, its a really good song!
Epilogue: Got nothing but hugs from the girls, and they moved on after the concert, but I was happy either way. Got myself thrown out of the festival later that night when me and my friends started a Mosh Pit at the "The Ark" concert. Overall, a good night.

For once, I just going to let you listen to it instead of being prentisous. I will say this though, it's a romantic neoclassical masterpiece.

I got two more songs by a Swedish band. Then I promise that I wont post more Swedish. For a while...
This band here is Lillasyster. Swedish for LittleSister.
First of we have a cover song by them on the song Umbrella by Rhianna. I want to share this, because in this day and age, a lot of covers are made. All the time. Mostly techno remixes, or hip-hop artist that use some old song to get new money. This is a well made cover that proves that everything sounds better with Rock!
Next up is the song "Mår så Jävla Bra!", or "I Feel so Fucking Good!" as it would be in English. This song just feels so good to listen to. Its basically about a break up, about the horrors of loosing someone, and how, in a strange way, it can feel so fucking good.
(Please ignore the naked guy with the circular saw...)
Thank you once again for creating this thread Opeht. What would I do without it? (Probably something constructive... But whats the fun with that?)

Okay, I'm gonna go a different way this time. I want to make a tribute to the one artist that has followed me throughout my life. Who's music always have been with me. The one, the only, Johnny Cash.
I will begin with "You are my sunshine". A song that carries a special place in my heart. I have listen to it for nearly as long as I have lived. It was the first tune I learnt to play on the harmonica. My oldest, 4 year old, daughter knows it by heart. I sang it every night to my youngest, now 8 months old, daughter when she still was in the womb. And still, to this day, it is the only thing that will calm her down when she is sad.
Now this one, "I wont back down" is the song I live my life by. Whatever may happen to me on my travels, I always remember the words of this song. And to this day, I still haven't backed down from anything, or anyone.
Last but, not least, is "God's gonna cut you down". Now I am not a religious man, and I will probably never be. But IF I were to become a religious man, this song would turn me.
In my life, I am God. And I will cut you down if you stand in my way.
