[Draco Ny'ade]

you are all gathered together (except Mordeci) in the Hangar bay as you watch the valkyries being prepped. you have been told to wait there until further instructions. you have your squads too (dont worry, theyll be red mist soon enough)


Mordeci, you and your troopers (5) are in the briefing room with the general, your vendetta is ready in the bay

(for now talk together, iron, you start a convo)

im a commisar. Its my job to keep everyone with a high morale. I don't have a squad but im surveying the others ie: all the troopers. Because by the looks of things its Knights new posting and he's summing up the regiments

Eli sits, his back against a wall, and sharpens his tallarn long knife. He keeps an eye on the exits, and makes note of all the possible positions to be attacked from. Having done that, and satisfied that the next five minutes should pass without significant battles, he decides the sleep - keeping one eye open though

Sees the lone trooper standing away from his group. Must be a loner he thought. Walking over to him he gently kicks him awake. "get up this isn't a hab stack this is the guard and you don't sleep on the job! Now tell me your name"

"corporal eli smith... Sir" eli spits the last word with venom. "besides I wasn't sleeping, i was waiting for the next battle."

"well, corporal you'll have a while to wait. Now im Commisar knight. I'm sure you've heard of me. Why arnt you with your regiment anyway?"

basically I want to know why your on your own and not communicating with the rest of your squads

Mordeci stands in attention, hands behind his back. While he tries to push away the unease feeling of having his burnt face uncovered, he turns to the General and speaks with a crisp voice:
"-What would you have us do, my Lord? We stand ready to do you bidding, and bring havoc to your enemies, Sir!"

"no i haven't heard of you commisar, and as to why I am slouching..." eli lowers his voice to a whisper " i just spent the past five months fighting chaos insurgents in the poisonous foothills of melodrax. Five minutes peace is a small entitlement no?"

"Emperor above that's nothing. Try 3 years fighting the eldar priates. That's something. Now ive never had to discipline a man badly before which is why im well liked. I've also never had to shoot one of my own either. I'll grant you your respite. But don't take that tone with me again. I may be a great commisar but I make a worse enemy." with that he indicates for Eli forgo walk with him.

"no offence commisar, but assuming that one enemy is worse than the other is a sure way to die quickly. The conflict with chaos has just been one action in many for me. Now i would prefer to remain with my fellow tallarn members here?"

"Thy will be done, my Lord!" answers Mordeci with a low bow, before he turns around and leads his troopers out of the Briefing Room. He takes forth his gas-mask and put it on, feeling the comforting closeness of the mask. After Mordeci and his squad have picked up their equipment, they head straight for the Hangar, boots ringing out in pace on the metal floor.
