"Maybe we have lingered here for long enough now.. I don't like the feeling of scavenging through the remains of our forces, without knowing what the warp hit us, or what we're up against... So what are your orders Corporal? What should we do?"

"he's clearly in pain. Lets just move out of here and then decide, what the point in making a plan to get out if only to be killed before its hatched?"

"right, listen closely. Not because i'm a corporal, but because I am a tallarn desert raider." eli pauses and regains his breath "now, this is ground zero, the carcass ground and soon the carrion will descend to feast - whoever they may be - and trust me when i say that we don't want to be here when they do. However, i suggest we make an OP close by, and see if we can identify the bastards that did this to us."
He takes a final look around
"let's not use the sniper rifle as a crutch? I might need her. If we have to use a weapon we'll use one of our dead comrade's lasguns, yes?"

"Here" chucks Eli a slightly gore stained lasrifle. "use that. I'll use my magnoculars to see if I can find a high enough position out of sight from these bastards"

Eli catches the crutch "thanks sah" he tests with a few steps and discovers that he can move quite comfortably. He secures his gear, and looks around. One hand one his crutch and the other holding his pistol.

Mordeci moves in a tactical advance pattern, covering the other two as he goes.

Moves behind the stormtrooper as to stay out of earshot. Whispers "so corporal, what do you think were up against? And another thing. Who's going to take command as your injured."

"I can take command commisar, have no fear of that brother." Eli looks around. "Lets head for that ridge and see what we can see. My money is on eldar, as we would have surely detected anything else."

Mordeci keeps on moving towards the ridge, keeping a watching eye on the surroundings. As he moves he places himself so that if something would happen, he could give fire support for the other two.

"Very well. We had best find you a shelter where I can clean up that ankle properly and set you up for the night. You'll need all the rest you can get with that injury"

"ey, let's just get to that ridge. I've come out of worse sc*CENSORED*s than this"

"that's what I meant corporal. We will get to the ridge and seek shelter there. Mordeci I'll take first watch"

"someone needs to cover the south, go cover that I'll take the north. We are protected from the west here so Eli if you don't mind could you watch the east for an hour until you can get some rest, its getting late by my chron."
