I assume you registered for Battlelog only to find it uses an old account name and you cannot change it?

I am confined to using Minaithnir as my Battlelog name because it was my original BF1942 name, even though I have been Crucias for nearly 4 years.

In the end it's an amazing game that Dice have made and I ignore the EA side of it

Actually no. I'm finding that my gamertag is not connected to my EA account and thus far through several attempts and talking to EA directly linking it is not possible, and as such battlelog will not acknowledge the money I spent on the game and keeps telling me to go buy it.

That sucks balls. It's still worth perservering though, the game is tons of fun when played with friends. Also on that note I don't think I've added you, let me just fix that... (WP7 is XBL enabled )

Battlelog seems to be an integral part of the game though, so I spent all this money and I don't even get the play the whole thing all because their technical department are a load of morons and idiots. The EA people even claimed they manually set up and enabled my battlog eligibility and all that. Nothing. It's not a matter of acknowledging EA, it's a matter of would I rather have part of a game for x amount of money or all of x amount of money. I'm leaning towards the latter. As I generally play these games for fun and little to none of this registering-failing-customer support-failing-error messages has fallen into the fun department.

Dumb system, what happened to the good old days of playing games? I don't want to have to coordinate that every game has it's own database that must be connected to every other database every time I buy something or want to play something.

Wait what? What part of the game are you missing out on? To my knowledge everything worked for me before I registered for Battlelog. All BL did was enable the news feed on the RHS of the main menu

Okay, gave up on battlelog and went and just played it for it. I'm not seeing the lure at present. I feel as though all I do is run forever and die to do it all over again.
