So if I am reading this correctly, its possible to have multiple layers of privacy within our faction forums?

Example: The Raven Guard have our public forum, and the private forum (Raven Spire). Are you indicated that one of the sub forums within Raven Spire could be further secured so that only a portion of my members could view it? How exactly does this work?

in the black legion we have the eye of terror and a passworded leadership area both of which were viewed by addikuss as he knew the passwords so in this case the only way to have prevented him viewing them the password should have been changed when he was removed from the legion

I'm not sure how it works exactly, but yes, it'spossible to do that.

im sure faction leaders are able to set up and password a sub forum

It's come to our attention that he also controls two other accounts. Brother Bruticus and War Dog are both from the exact same computer. Therefore they have been removed as well for being even more spy accounts.

I would urge all Faction Leaders who had Adikuss to do an activity check to see if all their members are actually members because that's NLs, BL and TS he was in

@Sinn - Leaders have to submit for them in tickets, but they can generally arrange the private area any way they want

i knew he was bruticus omg how could i forget that one, when i removed addikuss from my legio bruticuss sent me quite a verbal message claiming to be adikuss "cousin"

If Adikkus was able to approve his spy accounts manually, then no level of preparation on the part of Faction leaders could have prevented that. Not a fault of theirs, merely an observation.

Yep you're totally right. The only way past it would be to do what the Dark Angels do and require a meeting on XBL.

However, it's easier to just rotate passwords when people leave

yeah, my second in command suggested a password change when he left but i assured him there was no need major bad call on my behalf there, im going to check my roster and clean it out a bit

Wow. Why the need for so many spy accounts? That just screams paranoia on every level.


If you can't access it, deal with it. I'm sure there are no juicy secrets hidden away worth that amount of effort :L

Don't regret helping; your intentions were good. His however, were questionable at best. Not like you helped him make the spy accounts, after all.

Sinn told me that Adikuss once suggested they create spy accounts and infiltrate other chapters on GWRS in order to learn their tactics in order to become the best on the site. Found it a bit amusing, then we found all the damn accounts

Quite easily traced though, through IP? I don't think that he could have avoided that even of he had thought of it.

Yeah the great thing about having a bunch of tech-savvy Admins and Mods is we can program the site to flag up his new accounts because his IP doesn't change enough. Anything close is flagged for inspection

indeed i do beleave he surgested the idea of spying on other chapters in a pm to me i told him to dismiss the idea but it never occured to me that he had already done it

The system flags all accounts created within his home loop, so the city and surrounding area. It's a case of if they get flagged we check it immediately, and then recheck it if the account gets "in trouble".
