Artemus sat there and started kicking his leg
alice smiled and giggled a bit

"We will got through the town north then." he chuckled as he petted artemus. "Would that be better dear?" he asked Alice.

"lets go see whats there" she said to him
Artemus barked and pointed to the moutians
alice looked at him
" what should we do?" she asked

Now Verschlinger scratched his own head in puzzlement. "I wonder what got you to pick a route." he wonder as he saw Artemus point toward the mountains. He looked at what came down to two routes now, the town, or the mountains. "Hmmm....Lets go see what has gotten Artemus attention, ready for some mountain hiking?" he asked her.

Alice looked up at him and nodded pulling a blanket out of her bag
"just in case" she said walking to the trail to the moutians

He watched her as she pulled out the blanket from the bag. "What don't you carry in that bag?" he asked. He shooked his head and walked with her up the mountain trail.

she looked at him and smiled
"i have no clue!" she said smiling
"Shirahime left this for me " she said looking at the black bag on her back

He looked at the black bag and then back to Alice. "Nothing ever popped out of there unexpectantly right?" he asked, now wondering where the items where coming from.

she shook her head no
"not that i'm aware of " she said to him as they walked

"Well, that's gut then. Let's hope that stays like that." he said, returning his attention back to the path. He put an arm around her shoulders so the blanket would stay wrapped on her.

She smiled and she walked with him up to the start of the moutian
"ready?" she asked him

"Ja." he nodded. These might be one of the few times the serpents were willing to stay inside, not liking the cold one bit. But unlike them, he enjoyed the cold. "Are you?" he asked her.

she nodded and picked up Artemus and held him close walking the trail up
"careful dear" she said

"I will be, as long as you are." he said to her as they now walked the path up the mountains, holding her.

She nodded and continued the path up holding her dog and smiled up at her ver.
"Soon we will be safe?" She asked him

He looked down to Alice and smiled back. "Ja, we will be my dear." He said to her, giving her a reassuring hug from the side as they walked.

Alice kept walking with him and the higher they went it began to snow. Alice looked at the snow ans smiled
"What is this?" she asked

He looked at her with a confused expression. "It's snow dear." he told her. "You never seen snow before?" he asked her, surprised.

she shook her head no and smiled looking at him as one fell on her nose and she smiled

"Well, it's like ice, but softer." he told her with a smile as they walked. "It is something definetly to be seen." he said as he watched the snow too.
