He shrugged. "Then it is probably good that you do not have to meet my family then." he said with a bit of a chuckle. "Maybe she will be less creepy as time goes on." he said, trying to be optimistic. "Although what she said..." he trailed off.

"But....ok, if you wish dear." he sighed, not sure what to make of the whole situation still. He was quiet for a moment before he said anything. "I guess we should practice?" he suggested, hoping to go to a different subject will change the mood.

He took a few steps away and turned back facing her. Ther serpents postioned themselves forward and a bit aside, getting ready to try something that niether they or verschlinger have tried before. "When ever you are ready dear." he told her as he stood still.

Alice closed her eyes and threw her needles one at a time

The serpents moved to hopefully intercept the flying needles before they could sink themselves into Verschlinger's body, using unseeable sensory organs to do the job.

Verschlinger padded his chest and was surprised she was right. "Huh, I did not think I could do that." he said with a laugh of relief. "Wait.....did you have your eyes close!?" he asked, kind of surprised and scared.

alice looked at him and nodded "yeaah why?" she asked " why?"

".....No, just, nothing dear." he said, just shaking his head. He took a breath and smiled. "Although that was not bad for a first try." he remaked as the he held out a hand to let the serpents spit the needles out.

alice walked over and took the needles back

"Want to do another round?" he asked her. "Maybe with only two of them this time?" he thought, considering this was a main act why not make it interesting.

She nodded at him " lets try again she said backing up pulling a sash out and over her eyes

He stood attention again as he closed his eyes once more. Two of the serpents slithered back into his back as the remaining two took up positions. 'You are pushing it.' He heard the serpents say.

Alice took a deep breath and threw her needles

With only two of the serpents available, they worked themselves harder as they tried to catch the needles in midflight without incident.
