He looked at her a little confused. "What are you not sure about?" he asked her. "To be honest, you would probably be a great mother." he told her sincerly.

Alice turned away from him
" i dont want to talk about this" she said

He looked at her a little sadden. He took off his gasmask. "Alice, why do you seem to be so afraid?" he asked her, confused by the way she was acting.

alice looked at him with her eyes welling up in her eyes
" i killed my mother" she said looking at him

He looked at her even more confused. "Alice, what do you mean?" he asked her, not really able see her kill her own mother of all things. 'This is getting weird.' he heard a serpent whispered in his head.

"after i was born i made my mother sick i tore something or i moved something i dont know but she was sick alot after i came along.... one day well i-i was out playing with a doll i made when ....well some guys came in to town on horses and basicly tried to take me away... my father was out at work. my mother was in a chair watching me and when they tried to take me my mother ran over and tired to stop them..." she looked away bitting her lip.

"they threw me to the ground shooting my mother in the chest.... as she tried to crawl over to me holding her hand on the wound..... t-they trampled her in front of me leaving us alone ...... i ran over to my mother and held her hand crying to her ..... she looked at me and told me that this was the hardest thing she was ever going to ask...s-she asked me to take the knife from her boot and....." she let out tears and put her finger to her throat slowly running it across her neck

"and kill her..... i didn't under stand so i followed her directions thinking it would make her stop being in pain ...... i tried to wake her after b-but she wouldn't wake up! SHE WOULDN'T WAKE UP!" she yelled falling to her knees holding her head balling her eyes out

"SHUT UP! GO AWAY!" she screamed holding her head tightly

The realization finally hit him after hearing the story now and he slowly shook his head as he knelt down beside her. "Nien, nien, nien. Alice please hear me." he said softly as he put an arm around her trying to comfort her. "What your mother asked of you.....was mercy from the painful end she was suffering because of those two men." he started off, trying to explain it right and not make her more upset or the voices. "She loved you, which is why it was the hardest thing for her to ask you, she new what it would do to you." he said. "The only reason your Dad treated the way he did is because he only saw what was infront of him. He didn't see the men and what they did, or the pain your mother was in." he kept trying to explain it for her. "You are no monster or anything like that, you'er not worthless either. Please, you did nothing wrong, you only gave your mother peace." He finished, desperately hoping that Alice would understand now.

" i was only five..... i had my mothers blood on my hands " she said looking at her hands and hallucinating that the blood was there and she screamed

He immediteatly covered her hands with his free hand. "But you didn't want to, your mother asked you to as a way of helping. I know you didn't understand, but the idea that you willingly did it was practically beaten into you for years by your father. I'm trying to show you that you just wanted to help your mother, not that you are some murderer you been made to think you are." he said.

Alice hugged him and cried on his shoulder

" i didn't know" she said

He hugged close and tight as she cried. "You didn't know and there was no way you could have understood at the time." He told Alice as he held her. "So please, don't beat yourself up like this. Stop blameing yourself." He asked of her.

" but it was my fault" she said

"Nien, if the those two men you told me of did not show up and did what they did, your mother would have been ok and not have asked." he said as he still hugged her. "Nothing was your fault." he said again.

alice looked at him

" it doesnt' stop me from thinking that i am a monster

"Alice, dear, I don't know how else to tell you that you are not a monster that you think you are." he said to her. "What would finally convince you that you are not one?" he asked her, wanting to have her stop hating herself.

Alice hugged him
"i don't know " she said to him
"but you know how to make me feel better " she said

He looked down at her sadly before He went to hug her back. "I just want you to be happy, that's all that matters to me." He told her as he held her.

Alice hgged and smiled
" thank you my husband" she said to him

He hugged her and kissed her head. "It is the least I can do for you my dear." he told her. He let the embrace go on for a few moments before he said something again. "Is there anything you would like to do?" he asked her, pretty sure practice is over for today.
