alice stood and walked over and to the door

the man looked at her and to her belly
"am i going to be a grandpa?" he asked?

she nodded at him and put a hand on Verschlingers shoulder to relax him

He took a breath, but it barely made a dent in his mood or the serpent's. "Ja." he simply answered. He reached up and held Alice's hand, but kept staring at the man, staying quiet to let him speak.

" forgive me i've been stupid i want the forgiveness of my only child" he said to them

Shirahime appeared behind him
"a gift of family" she said as she disappeared

Alice's eyes began to well up
"daddy..." she said quietly

He looked from Alice's father to her now. Seeing her starting to tear up, Verschlinger took a step to oneside so Alice could step through. "If you want to dear." He told her, wanting her to be happy. He then looked back to him. "And if you are actually sincere." he said to him, his tone more serious with him.

" i was a fool and i still am but if you can forgive me my only child and her husband i would be greatful" he said looking at her he had been sober since he came to hell

alice held his hand tight looking at Verschlinger

He took a few moments as he fought back the urge instantly say no to the man, all the times Alice told him stories of her father's abusive behaviour. He looked towards Alice as he thought to himself. "If Alice forgives you, Then I will too." he finally said to him.

she held her hand out and he smiled taking her hand gently with a smile

He stood there and watched the two, starting to relax a little. But only a little. "It seems like I forgive you too then." he said as he looked at the two.

Alice smiled and kissed his cheek
"welcome father" she said walking inside

He stepped out of the way to let the man in, standing by the door so he could close it after he would walked in. He looked to him. "Hold any grudge over what happened between us earlier?" he asked him, wanting to know.

"no if you didnt kill me i probably would have killed her" he said looking ashamed of him self

"Well, all the same, I'm sorry that I was a bit cruel in the execution of it. Gotten a little rusty overtime" he offered. "So, did she ever tell you what happened when she was a child?" he asked him, not sure what else to talk about now.

"yes i never belived her " he said looking at the wall

He was quiet for a few moments after he said that. "So what are you going to do now?" he asked him, leaning against the door now as he listened.

" Shirahime as a choice of torture desided to show me what i missed and replaied it over and over in my head i'll never think she lies again" he said looking at his hands

He nodded after he spoke. "Going to come in or have somewhere else to go?" he asked him now, kind of wanting to go back and take care of Alice and the little one.

alice waved him in and he walked in just looking down ashamed of him self still

Verschlinger closed the door after Alice's father stepped in and went to the kitchen to clean up what was left of the dishes, hoping something menial will calm him down enough to actually be in the same room with the guy.

Alice sat in the chair and looked at her father and smiled
her father sat down and smiled at her

"when did you get pregnant?" he asked

she smiled and looked at her belly rubbing it lightly

"A few weeks now I think." he answered as started putting away the clean dishes, making a guess since he still has no sense of time in hell yet. He smiled a little as he saw alice smiling at her belly.
