Why not just make your clan a multi game clan that's what I'm doing.

Why not split the Groups into Spec MArhens groups and Halo groups so that halo forum has some use??

Now say we don't want to affiliate the name of our chapter with your group in Halo 4. Such as - I would personally like to take part in starting the XIV Legion. As such, are we confined to only starting a group with our respective chapters or could I (assuming I cannot lead the organization due to my Acolyte Standing) find myself a leader and carry on with it's formation, have it's own little subsection, etc? Or, since it is not a "Chapter" and related to Space Marine, are we and the rest of the staff able to start our own groups?

This is the first time in years I have been compelled to run a Halo Clan and as such would like to seek out the ability.

You can be an XO not a Leader because of the Acolyte banner you have right now. If you guys found a chapter then it will be exactly as for Space Marine but in the Halo sections. Just remember that you'll have to find members not in other chapters to found it

Eh, Yeah. Was filling out a spreadsheet when I took the 35 seconds to type that. Hah.

So we're going to be treating the other games the exact way that we treat Space Marine with Chapter leaders and so forth? Looks like we get to make banners for the proper leadership names! Hoorah.

What I can't say that I see the point in is the bit about not using members from other chapters. I'm sure there are others out there who might not want to be affiliated directly with their Space Marine Chapter in Halo. They are two entirely separate games after all. Like in my current layout - In the 40K universe I take up the banner of Sanguinius. In the Halo Universe I am a Legionnaire. Can we truly hold anyone to their perspective chapters and expect that to hold a loyalty over in a completely separate game?

if were getting halo banners will this be for halo factions only and not halo subfaction (such as what is being created within TBL)?

The Halo factions are the same as the Space Marine factions. They can either be a Multi-Game or Single Game. New, single game factions will get their own forums like Shadow Spectres. Multi-Game factions will get linked like Black Templars have.

There is no need for new ranking banners

Alright, so to clarify - You're going to retain Faction Leaders and XO's for rankings that don't include factions and keep it open to Single or Multi-game. However, in the event that someone from an existing SM faction wants to start their own they will need permission from their existing chapter in order to do that and separate themselves in Halo from Space Marine, correct? Not entirely lore friendly but acceptable I suppose in that regard.

The couple of things that bother me about it specifically is that if you are part of a current chapter and are not the "Faction Leader" will you be granted the "Faction Leader" rank and banner for Halo if you start a Group for Halo? If so aren't you afraid that this will cause confusion? Or XO's with Faction Leader titles because they run a Halo Group?

I'd much rather see it a little more segregated from the Space Marine agenda that we have. Me and 4 other people from other Chapters may play Halo well together : Does that mean if we all decided to create a faction that all 4 would need to ask for permission to form said group from their respective chapters? What if one were the chapter leader and wanted to start a separate, differently titled Halo Group? How would the banner/title status work?

Also, the term Faction Leader isn't lore friendly. I'm anal about the Halo Lore. Lol.

Faction Leader used to be Chapter Master. It can get confusing but we haven't figured out a good way to deal with it yet

I was thinking of a "Halo crusade company", BB. Everyone would stay in their current companies, but it would be a special assignment. And recruited Halo only players could be part of that company, and lured into SM!

We originally didn't think the majority of the community would embrace another game and had planned to just make Shadow Spectres a community thing. Then, one by one, the other factions contacted me and expressed their interest in shifting a lot of organized play to Halo and that led us down the multi-game single-clan style approach you see all around us now.
