The events of Reach were already established in the Halo: Fall of Reach Book , the Halo:Reach game is simply part of the story itself but from a farther and behind the scene point. Overall, I enjoy the endings for both.

For the record - the Halo Series in Book form is by-far one of the most immersing and involving stories that I've read. Absolutely love them. Though they did not mention Spartan III's in those books. Not until Ghosts of Onyx.
