"I took the from Calgarius' armour table. We need them to...knock on the enemies door and say boo as itit were." Gives a low long whistle and five camo clad marines slip out from behind pillers in the gloom and de activated their heat sensor goggles. "Marcus meet my infiltrators....A select group of men from my squad" At the click of my fingers the men line up and move out, sweeping the sewers methodically as we advance. After 20minutes of sludging through the waste of the zealots we come across a thick door seemingly impenetrable as the bars across it numbered roughly 20..."this is what we need the bombs for" mag locks one of the Melta bombs onto the door. "Thankfully we are 1200 metres below ground level so they will not hear the explosion. Beyond here are three more doors which lead to the foundations of the palace walls...thats right we are literally levelling the field. We are but 1000 metres from the palace and 500 metres from the foundations. Lets get to work, after the initial explosion we'll split into three groups. Me,you and Otron, then the other four make up the other teams. We'll detonate them all at the same time to cause massive damage to the infastucture and sowing confusion amongst the enemy...lets go"

Marcus' battle helm keeps malfuntioning making him laugh with sheer amusment while he followed through the blasted sewers then he returns to the real world "wait if we detonate the bombs at once we could be crushed if the detonation causes structure instabilaty and i don't want to die here and does the captain know of these squad mates?"

"The captain know what I tell him...we will detonate these remotely Marcus avoiding unwanted death or injury...besides we're 1200metres below the walls not 5ft. However I agree with you, which is why I have a detonator...we'll plant them get back here then detonate. Lets give our brothers a day to remember eh?"

Marcus moves to a safe distance and awaits the explosion he jams a fresh bolt clip in his bolter and prepares for the war to enter its final stages he opens vox to captain Wolfus " captian we are going to detonate under the enemy palace prepare your warriors we have our entrance we will have much to discuss after this war is over."

I press the detonator and the first door blows. "Right fire-teams Hyperion and Cartas will deal with the first two and closest supports. Me and you will take the third and only defended support." I wave the men through and enter the smoky room. As I enter I see the fire-teams have already vanished down the other two corridors and into the support chambers. "Come Marcus we have little time before we are discovered...lets use this small amount of time to our advantage" I re-open my vox channel to Wolfus "before you start spare me the lecture you can shoot me later. Right now I need you to stall your attack for a few minutes. I'm placing melta bombs at the three support beams holding up a significant portion of the wall...when detonated the wall will fall saving you time and men. We'll be back by the rising of the moon at dusk with any luck. May the Emperor protect you"

"Don't worry sir the supports are designed to pull the wall down with them should the fall..they will destroy nothing but the chambers below the palace ehich were designed for such methods. The detonation is going ahead. The wall will fall aproxomatly 30 seconds after the tallest tower. My first two fire team are in position and te bombs are primed. Myself and Marcus are at the last door...only five zealots are inside to maintain technical items. Nothing I can't handle" I turn and nod to Marcus before kicking open the last door and letting loose with my plasma pistol...three die immediately. One, crushed by the door andother his face turned to liquid goop as the plasma tore away at his bio signiture and the thirds neck snapped as I kicked him into an overhead beam. Two to go and I swirl around Drawing Xeraphim and swinging it in an over head ar I deliver a coup de grace to a zealot trying to make for the comms relay. That left one...but where was he? "Marcus find the other one...we can't let him escape and warn the others. I'll attatch the bomb" I take the last two melta bombs and attatch them to the sipport with a clang

I wake up in a cold rush, my hands fall strait to a wound in my stomach I look down surprise written on my face as I see the terrible wound in my jest recieved from a hidden sniper. I suddenly remember the ongoing war "Brother how goes the battle on the surface" I say to a nearby apothicary "Not well brother, you should rest". Instead I through my legs over the bad and start to stand but instead I sit down winseing at the pain. I look round to see far to many battle brothers simirly wounded around me.

I usher everyobe out of the chamber and into the sewer entrance where we met. "Right, let's go" I flip the detonation seitch and as soon as we are far enough away, I detonate. The sound was tremendous, like the earth beneth us was moaning at us.
