"Brother get him out of here!" I yell to marcus as he hauls the unconscious seargent into cover. After several minutes of an intense firefight over half the zealots lay dead with the rest long retreated. "Brother I have summoned a rhino with an apothicary it should take several minutes to arr. The rest of my comment is cut of by a power sword plunges through my stomach and with it a sereing pain as I slowly fall to my knees.

I wake for a few second and sees marcus carrying my prone orm across the battlefield "leave...me..get..Icarus..worth more" I slip back into unconsciousness before I could finish

My wounds are wrapped and the apothecary is sitting on the seet beside me.Some ones muffles something to him he climbs near the driver quarters and I fell the rhino moving. I pass out again, what seems like a few mintues later we arrive a scene of utter carnage. My Vox stirres with life from what sounds like Marcus and Icarus. The Apothercary steps by me and he steps out into the bright light of the battle field.. Bolters are firing and men are shouting, "I'm not going to be useless in here when my brothers are dieing!" I say in angoney and anger and stand up the best of my abilities. I limp over to the weapon hatch and grab the mounted assualt cannon(wasn't sure what was on toop ) on the top a rack the slide and spray the area with mass reactive shells to cover my brothers.

Two rhinos arrive at the battle. Wolfus spots a legionary take the mounted assualt cannon and spray the surrounding cultists. Soon a golden plated elite charges towards me. Stepping to the side, Wolfus swings his mace at the back of the man's head, but the man casually ducks and brings his sword up into the captain's abdomen. With a quick movement, Wolfus parries the thrust and shatters the zealots face plate with quick punch from his armored fist. Dazed, the man stumbles backwards. Taking advantage of the lull, the embattled captain pulverizes the man with a blow from his mace.

Seeing wolfus on the edge of the battle field inspires me to fight even harder for my brothers and the emperor. Voxing Wolfus" brother captain.." +coughing and heeving+ "Its good to see you now let me cover us as we retreat the scene of the battle and regroup as a squad." Coughing and I relese my hand from the trigger and the autocannon slowly starts to spin down. I fall to the floor of the rhino and start to feel intense pain as darkenss washes over me.

Marcus dosen't listen to Horun's order "if i leave you hear hear we have lost a brother marine and i think weve lost enough for today don't you?" Marcus draws his bolt pistol and fires it at the zealots that try to stop the two retreating whilst activating vox to Wolfus " Brother i have Horun im moving to your position" a feeling of intense rage swells in Marcus' chest but he ignores it and gets his brother to the rhino.

Soon the zealots are retreating, and the wolves are bloodied and battered. Many red icons flash within Wolfus' helm. Tuning into the command channel, Wolfus hears strings of disconcerting reports across the city. It seems they were not the only ones ambushed. Hundreds lie dead all over the vast city. Contacting Captain Hadon, "Brother captain we never made it to our objective the enemy ambushed us in mass, but they have receded now. My losses are heavy, we need reinforcements." A surprising voice answers across the vox, it is Hadon's second, "Brother captain Wolfus, Hadon is dead, one of those elite zealots caught him by surprise. I'm company commander now. I need you to push towards the palace. Several other groups have broken out and are enroute now. You need to link up with them and end this madness." Shocked at the prospect of his commanding officer dead, Wolfus is uneasy for moment, but he soon regains his composure. "Men form up were going to the palace."

Marcus takes notice of his orders and replys "finally the leader will fall to our blades then. i will take his head as a trophy and mount it atop these bastards gates"

As Marcus walks away I mutter "I'm sorry for everything old friend, the burnings, the slaughters of innocents and the murder of our old families. I'm sorry that I have not told you everything about me...I am a" chokes upon the final word. activates Vox "Until I am well which will be a while from now, I am placing you in squad command. Goodluck...sergent" My vision darkens as I see the swirling shape once again, an eight pointed star surronded by four unholy icons...I scream.

Soon the sergeants surround Wolfus. "What's the strategy captain?" "Captain Issus is dead, so you dev sergeants are under my command until we get back to the Vengeful Spirit. Captain Hadon is dead, and we've been ordered to assault the palace with several other elements of the other companies," says Wolfus. "Any questions?.......right, to your rhinos." Putting back on his crested helm, Wolfus walks back towards the lead rhino.

Marcus turns back to Horun "what would the captain have to say about this? im sure someone else is already being considered for a sergant and more capable than me to lead us. Lay their and rest for now" Macrus then returns to clagarius "well how are you and i don't want to hear your half the man you used to be" a sympathetic smile creases Marcus' Fetures as he removes his helm.

Chuckling"I should be fine brother, just need to get some bionics then I should be back. What happened to our objective? Did we make it?" I ask him, but train of thoght is cut off by the sight of Horuns body being brought aboaerd the squads rhino. I look astonishment bestows upon my face. I look to marcus and he just looks down at the ground.

Marcus returns his gaze to calgarius "Were leaving for the palace brother we are going for the zealot leader we have lost enough Astartes and many like yourself are badly injured i would be happy if we split this planet apart and be done with it"

I look around...everything is hazy. I see Calgarius lower his head in respect and look away...am I dead? Impossible...what was that I saw on that tablet? It affected my minds greatly whatever it was. I move my fingers slightly..well I'm not dead...thats good. I look down and see blood coating my legs, my own or the enemies I don't know.."Marcus.."

"What is it brother?" Marcus then turns to Horun whilst looking at his battered helm in his hands "Apothacary is their anything you can do to stop the blood flow?"

Soon all rhinos report ready, and moments later, Captain Wolfus gives the order to move out. A dozen rhinos race down the city highway towards their destination. "This is Wolfus, to all Astartes. Any wounded will have to stay with the rhinos. The other captains have established a small field hospital near the palace walls . We'll be meeting them there. Wolfus out."
